Indoor dutch passions menage a trois: mix pack #7 + 1 little tidbit

day 5

everything looks promising so far.

initially i wanted to veg them under the cfl, because of its bigger blue spectrum. to avoid any further (drying) complications, i changed my mind and fired up the led. light cycle is still 24/7.

with their first watering i gave them a very mild dose of alg-a-mic. it contains 0,1% n, p, k and mg, 0,2% ca, hormones, amino acids and vitamins.

everybody got fed with 1 ml/l alg-a-mic and 0,5 ml/l grow yesterday. the 32oz TD is pleased with just a little plain ph'ed water.

this hobby is so amazing. i'm really having fun. :head:

that's it for now. thanks for joining.

gnat problem

oh dear, that's the last thing i need now...

when i opened the tent a few of these small guys flew around, some were crawling on the top soil layer.

a few days ago i discovered rotten fruits in my fruit basket. quickly removed all the rotten stuff and cleaned up, but some of the mofos survived and obviously were sucked into the tent by my inline fan. hopefully they don't lay eggs in my biobizz nurtured soil.

a quick google search revealed an approved recipe. 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water, 3 parts fruit juice and 1-2 drops of dish soap, to lower the surface tension. already got one mofo terminated in it, so it might work.

i'm going to buy some fly strips after the weekend, though.

...large-scaled operation; need some terminating kharma!

wish me luck...

A layer of sand on top of your soil. I remember reading it somewhere.

1in of sand over your soil works well, or skeeter dunks worked well also but you have to completely saturate the soil...good luck!

thanks guys!

i also read about that. you mean killing them by capping the oxygen supply? but they will get oxygen from the other side. and i also have made some holes into the pots, airpot-like.

but i think the situation has already calmed down; the vinegar solution is doing a good job. i opened the tent and just sat there for like 15 min, observing. i have seen no more crawling or flying around.

hope that's it.

day 18

bonjour!

the gnat problem is under control. i set up a few vinegar traps. this way i can catch them before they go into the tent; so the girls are safe!

as to feeding, i like the biobizz nutrients very much; they're absolutely unproblematic. fed a little more of alg-a-mic and grow, and a little splash of bloom.

here we go...

the girls already stream out a very pleasant and distinct smell. it's much smoother and more delicious than in the early stages of my last grow. i credit that to the biobizz products.:thumbs::thumbs:

ok guys, thanks for joining. have a nice weekend!

:peace:, love & aloha

day 23

hello all,

i've got some pleasant news today: the girls are showing sex! :brow:

everything's going on schedule. increasing the feed steadily, no problem.

a glimpse into the manege...

the girls will stay rather short, due to the 32oz medium, but i really like that. there's about 1-3cm internode space. i will try to make the whole stem one big bud. armed with the force of biobizz i'm in cheerful spirits. :D

have a good time everybody.

greetings from sativa town :peace:

day 27

good day AFN!

i'm so happy that everything's working well; everyone feels comfortable.

as a reward i'm getting the first white pistils. a nice crown is forming on everyones head (except on mrs cheese's head, that would suprise me :D)
since last feeding i'm increasing the bloom nutes and i'm now at 1,5 ml/l alg-a-mic, 1,5 ml/l grow, 1 ml/l bloom and 0,5 ml/l topmax. i think they can take more but i want to keep it on the safe side.

due to getting good hot weather where i live, the maximum temperature inside the tent is cozy 30 degrees c during the day and about 20 degrees c during the night (or lets better say during lights on and out), so i'm glad i'm not needing the heat plate anymore.

once again dutch passion supplied me with great genetics.

watch out, here comes the porn...
