hey im new to the dwc thing and will be posting my grow here. i am looking for any advice poss to not screw my ladies up lol. so any input is awesome. im using a 300w led and advance nutes. seed popped out of rockwool on 3/9/13. they seem to be growing slow. right now nutes are at 250ppm ph 5.8 i just got my meters so im pretty sure i burned em but i know whats in the water now.thank you in advance for the help oh and the pics are 3/22 and 3/23

no prob muggz your doing fine and youll have this journaling stuff down in no time. youll soon find when you ask a question youll get a lot of questions before you get a answer. were a nosey lot here we need to know and see all we can about your grow to give the best advice we can without being in the grow room with you. I tell new to DWC folks find a couple established DWC grows here and follow along from the start youll find youll have questions answered that you didn't even know as questions yet.

so this morning the ladies look a lil better. ppm at 300, ph 5.7, light at 36" now. ill start to lower it a lil every day til im at like 12"-16". my 21x pro hydrogrow led should be here by the 1st of apr. cant wait! hopefully i didnt stunt these lil ladies to much. if so oh well i ordered alot of beans so i got choices and beans to practice with. just dont like wasting these beauties

happy to help if i can ...not an expert but have pulled off a good 1st DWC grow.Like Toke says a good run down on your set up helps a lot.I did look in on your other thread & noticed your air pump looked quite small.How many liters of air do you have going to your buckets ?.
Can you take some pics of the res bubbling away !. Or the underside of those huge net pots ( i would change them i poss?)... You wont get monsters if the res is not saturated in oxygen & you need a decent size pump to do that.
Also you say your ppm is up already(250 on 24th & 300 on the 25th) ,but i doubt those babys have drunk enough to change it that soon.So maybe there is a slight light leak somewhere?.
DWC is a touchy system that HAS to have everything right or it just doesn't work.Thats why people say soil is better for beginners.You can have the best light but if the air pump is not pumping enough air they will struggle to grow.
If you are sure you want to grow in DWC then you really need GOOD meters ....those shity little yellow things from china arnt worth a wank mate .They will screw up your grow before you even start...I have 2 in the draw along with crap ppm meters that dont work.If you cant trust your meters then you will have problems .
check my grow lol.Its called "a noob tries DWC" .I tryed to get all the kit cheaply & threw it all away once i realized that you need the right equipment for a successful grow .

one of them looks bleached from when the light was at 12" im going to practice with these i germinated 1 more p/k its starting to pop today so hopefully the first two ones teach me what not to do as well. any advice is welcome thank you
