Hey AFN,

Jumped over from soil to hydro and I'm just wondering, with Autos, what is you guys preferred :

*Reservoir temps day/night
* light schedule
* tent temps day/night
*PPM schedule on first week and maxing out last week before flush?

Thanks in advance...

Peaceeeeee

Hey bud. I aim to keep the res around 18-20oc but using a sm-90 or hydroguard will keep roots healthy and algea/plythium away in higher temps.

Light schedule is personal preference. Anywhere from 18/6 to 24/0 is fine.
Some believe even autos benefit from lights out/rest period. But if you have low temps 24/0 is great to keep temps stable.

As for ppms every strain is a little different. But i use plain tap water for the first week say around 150-200 ppm and slowly increase weekly from there

The simple answer is I don't care anymore. I stopped monitoring water temp. It is ideal to be just under room temperature and mine stays there reliably so far.

18/6 is my go to schedule, but have tried 24 and I have also dropped to 12/12. I prefer 18/6. The plant repairs it's DNA and prepares for growing new tissues at night so I don't like to go over 18/6.

room temp should be mid to low 70's and drop no lower than 60 at night.

I feed plain water till I see a second set of leaves or yellowing, then go to 200 PPM and up it a 100 every week till flower. Flower should start around 700 and you can go as high as your plants will allow, usually no more than 12-1500 PPM.

Best advice I wish I had gotten:

Get a good pH meter and take good care of it.

Your plants live and die based on the pH and you are God in the grow room. Get a Blue Lab or an Apera meter and you will be confident.
Also, don't bother with organics unless you are willing to adjust pH twice a day. They leave a residue that attracts bacterial colonies that buffer pH.
