New Grower DWC, Led, First time grow (3x Think Different)

Like you said never on the internet anywhere have I seen that... I cant wait to hear what the seasoned vets have to say !

:dunno:never seen anything like that ?... is the affected area kept above or below the water ?:Sharing One:

Quick advice is fill water/nute level to touching or just above the net pot base & keep it topped up ,maybe change the res 1st too ,just to be safe ?.

Maybe try to clean the affected area with something like a spray bottle ,see if it washes off while you make a fresh res (be super gentle)

Keep a close eye & see if it goes away ,keep us posted :Sharing One:

H202? Quick fix? With a res change obviously

I will max rep the dude who can tell us exactly WTF that shite is bro !.

Cowboy has a good point ...are you running any kinda sterile agent ?.If not & the problem persists it may be an idea to try some ?:Sharing One:Shes a beast :goodluck:

OMG what could that be? It apeared over night... Mold?

My girlfriend says it feels grainy, and it doesnt smell! I keep my res. temps always between 18 and 21 °C

Looks like calcium deposits that you get with hard water ( just a guess but thats what it looks like to me ) Too much Calcium????

Thanks for you posts guys! Im not a fan of H2O2, it would kill both, the good and bad bacteria. Since the undesired "whatever" seems to outcompete the good ones, H2O2 would make the problem worse. Or i would have to run with H2O2 for the rest of the grow.
Its a shame that you can't get Hydroguard/Aquashield in Europe, what sterile agent would you propose?
Don't like sterilizing a res either & much prefer bennie tea .Great white myco & molasses brewed for 48hrs works well :Cool bud:

Nice tipp! Does this reall work in DWC? I heard these microorganisms have problems to colonize the roots without a fitting subtrate like a "Biofiltre".

well, just my opinion but, your plants and roots look healthy, so I'd say don't mess with it. keep your ph in range and maybe get a water filter to reduce the ec of your water. I learned my lesson, I won't run tap water in hydro!
