Electric Forest - 2013. I was busy being all over the place, so I totally missed out but this year things will be different... not missing a damn thing.

Chicago's going to have a Spring Awakening Festival... the line up is unbelievable... just insane. I'm already mentally preparing.

That knife party track uses a gabba kick in the build up, I noticed it when I first heard it. If you like hard EDM give 'gabba' a listen, it's also called hardcore over here in Europe, although not to be confused with uk hardcore (very confusing lol) which evolved from jungle in the early 90's.

I keep saying I'm gonna buy some music production software but never manage to get round to it. I DJ mostly, had a huge setup not too long ago but I just use Serato and a Pioneer DDJ-SR controller now, gotta move with the times! :tiphat:
 
My buddy keeps wanting me to go to electric forest he's been the last two years ... its just so far away for me like 10 hours ha. We go to wakarusa every year just about except for this year I wont be able to go unfortunately.. I bet the forest is crazy nuts at night man !!

Bro... it's the best trip possible. I like the woods to begin with... but add in thunderous EDM, light shows, and hella trees plus all the awesome people you normally run into at festivals... I'm a lifer. Some people like birthdays and holidays... I like raves. Just how it is.

I've not heard of Wakarusa. Hmmm... another festival to add to the list. I'm gunna have to intelligently divvy up my sick days. ; ]
 
i could imagine the trip would be like whoa style! ahh man I know what you mean about being a lifer, I will be going to festivals for a while.. we hit up one down here in the south too called counterpoint, If you like DJ's its the festival for you, they had pretty lights, bassnectar, skrillex, Excision, 12th Planet, Zeds Dead and one of my faves Big Gigantic!! ... just to name a few big artists.. and wakarusa is more of divergent music festival the year I went the headliners were mumford and sons, Umphreys McGee and Bassnectar.. god you can't go wrong with any edm really tho!
 
Counterpoint seems totally legit. Zeds Dead is my shit; both his solo stuff and any collaboration with Omar Linx. Stuff gets under my skin in a good way. I was actually sampling his stuff earlier this week for a track. ; ]

I love all edm. Drums and bass included. Samba... eh, I'd have to be in Rio to really enjoy it... for some reason it reminds me of merengue and salsa... dunno why. Guess it's the latin influences. I'm all for it though.

It's way beyond me at this point but I'd like to make it out to festivals like Ultra, SXSW, Burning Man, Electric Daisy Carnival, Coachella and Tomorrowland just to name a few.

I got dreams.
