Outdoor Effect of chlorine water for short periods

I have used drip emitters with outdoor containers in the past with success, but this year I want to use a true "live" soil and grow auto flowers.

For 95% of the grow I can dechlorinate the water, but there are a few times (one 5 day stretch) where it needs to run on the drip emitters.

Is there anything I can do for this time period to help out?
How bad will this be for the soil?

I've never dared to use it right from the tap but my cuz always does never let's the water stand to get to temp or declorinate his plants are still fine but he's probs one them lucky fuckers who wing it n get results lol

Couldn't find the actual CSU Fort Collins research data (didn't dig too deep), but at least gives me hope that 4-5 days of chlorine water won't wreck havoc.

I have done my own research with a microscope using tap water vs distilled vs rain water and unless your tap water is like swimming pool water there is very little effect on a healthy established organic soil. Especially if humic acids are involved. Which they are in a healthy living soil. I wouldn’t worry too much unless it becomes excessive you should be fine.

Right now the lake I use for my water source is froze over still. I'm using tap water from a city I work in. I leave the top off the container and let the chlorine evaporate out for 24 hours.

This has worked well for me for the past decade. I'm not watering plants. I'm building up my microbial life in my soil bags.

I'm on a well and I have an RO system for the kid's drinking water. I never use it other than to pop seeds. My seedlings die with RO, but my tap water is un-conditioned and comes out at 7ph on the button with lots of minerals. Plants just love it.

My well water at the house maxes out my test kit at 9+. Oh how I envy your water source.
