Gonna throw it out there as Ive been thinking about this....maybe a bad thing as I ain't Nikola Tesla(best genius ever).....is it possible to put small solar panels in my grow room and self power my lamps from them?....or maybe I shouldn't think when stoned haha

That sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately I think panels would interfere with the canopy. How about an arizona room with panels on roof directly above?

On the roof or the ceiling of the grow room ,I can't use outside roof for reasons of stealth......just figured there must be a way of harnessing the abundance of light in there and run lights for free

Solar panels are actually a great topic of debate around here right now, we bought 20 acres in the middle of nowhere mountains in southern az. Sun all day every day. We are thinking to start a solar farm first, sell electricity back to the elec. company and fund the outdoor grow.

My electricity used to be $50 usd, since growing it has shot up to 350 usd. The solar panels are a good idea, but the panels must be outside tben you wire it into your tent

Huh, that never crossed my mind. Solar panels are incredibly common around here these days.

Do you mean reflectivity of light in the room being focused directly on the plants? Not sure how to harness it in such way. Good thought though.

Solar isn't a friendly option when it comes to growing lol Once you figure out the power your going to need go price it out and you'll put the idea on the back burner real quick

I should take a snap shot of my electric bill. Last month, $423.78.! Not from my light though, electric heat!!
