New Grower Eng. Growers next endulgence

Transplanted Sally KrippleBerry. She had about 35 roots showing on the sides of the plastic cup she was in and had a fine haired tap root at the bottom that was another 2 1/2" longer. It was so fine I could not see it thru the cup. Only. 6 days old. All 3 are only 2 days apart from each other. Only watered Sallie with plain water thinking she needs to rest a few days b4 I even consider watering her again.

Well, I transplanted Sally KrippleBerry and it appears she suffered no transplant shock. I was able to tap the soil down a bit before tilting it over spreading my fingers so I did not bother the start and then tapped the bottom and it started to loosen up and then I just tilted the cup more till it started to slide out. I let fall into the the pre hole I made the same size as the soil ball that she grew in. I did not touch the roots and gently pushed the coco in around the roots to shore it up and make her stand straight. She has already grown some. I see new leaves coming on the tip.

And why did you start them in a small container? No room? I think popping a seed in its final home is less hassle and less stress for you and the plant

In the past 3 months during my last grow I could not get beans to keep growing after they popped. Finally I tried 3 different methods at the same time, 1 in coco (final grow bag), 1 in a seed starting mix ( plastic cup) and 1 in a bag sealed with a wet paper towel. ALL 3 took off. My problem was temps falling quickly due to weather.

I now have a heating pad on low tucked in between my grow bags to keep the roots warm. My floor is concrete and I have no basement or crawl space underneath.

Hey EG, I found a handy tip for photos if your using your phone.

I've got an iPhone if you take pictures with the volume buttons facing down twds the plant they come out the right way up, good luck with your grow I'm 4 weeks into 4 x GG and have a diary going in new growers.

These are the girls in the tent. As you can see the large one is the
KrippleBerry that I transplanted. I gave her 1/4 Micro nutes and 1/4 strength Veg. Nutes yesterday on her 7th day from germ.

Gave Helen G. Glue her first dose of 1/4 strength nutes on Friday her 7th day from germination. Gertie G. Glue recieved her first dose of 1/4 nutes Sunday also her 7th day.

I see some brown spots on the first set of leaves on both Sally KrippleBerry and Helen G. Glue. I have witnessed this on my last 2 grows also. Not too worried about it this time.

Going to raise my lights about 4-6 inches.

I am maintaining 76 degrees temp during the day and 69-70 degrees at night, but the ground temps (coco) is definitely warmer. Will check that temp today. I turn my fan off at night thinking I am getting a warmer temp.
