hmmm, LOL burping or not burping. all depends on how it was clipping from the vine to the jars.if its pefectly dry or dried it will still have to be burped several times.roughly twice a week and shuffled around to get air movement in the jar or container for close to 3 weeks or less..if its more wet and closer to being dried, it'll have to be burped more with a lower Boveda(ie: 52-55% or something like it) pack to establish the proper drying consistency. once thats achieved you'll have to use the 62%.
i dry in multiple stages to find what to do and not to do..with packs and no packs. it varies certainly but as a solid rule.use lower packs if its wetter.higher packs if its drier. all will have to be burped for proper smell and taste and burning characteristics. this is what I have found over several years of using them and not using them in various ways.
a stable RH keeps mold tamped and other issues more subtle as well as negating them all together. so use them. unless your learning old school drying and curing which i dont recommend until you have loads of flowers to tinker and play with.but as a good practice its good to open the jars every couple months or three to shuffle them around and get a touch of air in there. not much, just a simple quick burp and a taste test maybe LOL you'll see and smell and taste the difference each week. smoke a small bit each week with boveda and without boveda. always works better for me.especially in winter or HIGH RH in summer.
