Hey guys, another question about trying to lower my Ph. My tap water comes in at steady 7.6ph. I have GH Ph Down (Acid) and I also have Epsom salts. My girls are just starting to sprout now and I have been lightly misting them with tap water, just enough to keep the top layer moist. Tested FFHF soil runoff before I germed seeds, that came out at 6.7ph from tap water mixed w/ 30% perlite.

Also, I have been aerating water, and the ph went to 8.1 after 3 days of sitting in a reservoir with the airstones. I guess chemicals are being pushed out, but I will be using this water for my plants, so whats the best way to get from 8.1 to 6.5ph? Will be starting GH Micro nutes in about 3-4 weeks. I know that will lower my Ph, but just wondering best way for time before nutes are needed and for flushing.

Thanks! :)

Hi postwar, if memory serves me (but after years of enjoying myself :Hookah:cant quite say for sure, I think that I've used white viniger in the past to bring down the ph,you only need to use a small amount to do the job.but be sure someone here will give you the correct way to do it,a great bunch of people who won't steer you wrong. Good luck with your ladies.

I`d use the ph down, but very sparingly(if at all, if you`re run off is 6.7, then that`s within tolerance and ph down is not really needed!). Then, when applicable, see where 1/4 strength nutes take you. Epsoms won`t help you in lowering the ph much(if at all) and would be detrimental to use atm (imho). Your medium is fresh and your `babies` young. :goodluck:
