hi i want to keep you up to date with my
grow that should of been. well should of been is right
i am writing this because i hope no one else does a
stupid thing like me. my grow was 4 buble gum autos,
fem, i have a 4 by 2 by 5 ft tent, with a carbon filter and a fan pulling the filtered air out,
400 watt hps bulb with a cooltube light assy,
i was watering them with 6.3 phd water and at the end
i had them on tiger bloom and big bloom nutes,
i will show you some pictures because this grow
doesnot exist anymore, well this is what happened
i live in a apartment that is above a trucking company
office which is my landlord, well i cannot have my
filter on all the time because sometimes i get my
daughter and she will be suspicious , anyway the smell
started to get so bad in my bedroom, i couldnot control
it, the plants were so healthy i was on my 10 wk,
i wasy going for 13 wks so the trichomes then should
be milky and some amber, well my landlord kept on
asking me to come in because they were geting a bad
smell downstairs, right then and there i should of ended
everything, they kept on searching for a cause of this
smell they were getting down stairs, any long story short, they called me downstairs today, after they checked my apartment again, and they handed me a letter telling me that i have to be out of the apartment in 60 days, can a landlord put someone out on the street, i always kept the apartment clean, and nice,
anyway i am in a real bad position now i have to look for another apartment and i have 2 cats, this really sucks i tried everything and if you hear good things about ona gel dont believe it because it sucks, dont work i had only 4 plants and it did not neutralize the air,
i feel sick because this is only my 2nd grow and it was going so good, the plants were so healthy, maybe yield 1/2 pd, estimate, three more wks i had , i checked the trichomes and they were still clear some cloudy,
i did cut some buds off the stalks and i am trying to secretly dry them, do you think i have a chance saving these buds or because all of the trichomes were not cloudy do you think that they are wasted,
here are some pictures , i even had a pheno and just a estimate yield probably around 2oz estimate, but no more because of my stupidity , everyone watch what you are doing alot of mother fuckers out there that will love to ruin you grow,now i have to look for another apartment and i was so into growing and everything was turning out so good, i am so pissed,i want to thank everyone for helping me

That just sucks, oneaday. I'd been following your grow and it was going so well.

If the trichs are clear, the THC hasn't fully developed. However, with a slow dry and cure, you may get a decent smoke.

Good luck finding a new apartment man.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Suspicion over a fan noise is always preferable to the smell going every where and it does.

Head up though, You'll find a great place where both life and gardening can co-exist.

:karma Cloud: Sending some karma to you buddy. Others should take note and always keep the fan/filter on. With regards to Ona, I find it really useful, it is never going to stop the smell of 4 flowering plants, but it def helps when taking plants out to water or whatever.

That stinks, one. I'm with Torched that in the future you are far better off finding an explanation for the fan noise rather than allowing the smell to get out of control. I have a couple of rental properties myself, and even though I am a grower I would immediately move to evict someone I caught growing. Not because I'm heartless, but because it's illegal activity happening on my property and I don't need any complications with the cops in my life. The fact that you are above somebody's business probably scared them even more because they have a lot to lose if they get raided.

At least you got the plants pretty far along and no doubt they will be a nice smoke. Not as good as if you'd been able to fatten them up, but I've smoked enough test buds with clear trichs to know they can still pack a punch. Good luck with the search for a new place, and hopefully you can find something where you don't share walls with others. But either way, odor control is job #1 for any grow and your tale is a cautionary one for other growers.

Very sad to hear of your predicament oneday.

As a matter of future security and personal safety I agree whole heartedly with Dazed and say carbon filter always.

I must admit to be a little confused to you fan/filter being suspicious to you daughter, where a grow tent and the smell of weed would be less suspicious?? nope still not getting it.

I will never live above a business especially one where my landlord works, the less you see of a landlord the better is my view of life, after all I know I will be growing and smoking weed.

If it was the noise you were concerned about, there are plenty of DIY fan silencer box tutorials on the web and you can buy a silencer to to stop the whooshing noise, I also have built a post silencer silencer and it is now 100% quiet.

There are also accoustic box fans available to buy, I bought one and then built another accoustic box around that again this is now 100% sillent. Then only place where I still get a little noise in the foot or so piece of duct between filter and fan, which I will silence come christmas time where I will close down grow ops for a week.

Other fans to consider are airforce II silent fans and the TD silent fans which are about 35Db but still can be heard but only just and I would build an accoustic box round that too, I would rather go totally silent or damn near as possible as it is my way.

Accousic ducting is also advised.

In the past I have also used bungee cord to hang my accoustic fan box to absorb any vibration, now I am using concrete blocks on top as I have an incredibly sturdy wood constructed grow cab.

I do what ever I can think to do to keep my grow quiet, smell free and secret, I tell no one and no one knows (well apart from several thousand AFN members )
