Does someone already has a good journal I can follow for a good soil brand & nute schedule for soil? I'm getting so frustrated reading about so much I just wanna narrow it down F!!!

Sorry for all the n00b questions ?

Go get yourself some Bio-Canna Vega, Flores, Boost & Rhizotonic... Some Bio Terra Plus soil.. Follow the feeding charts.. Forget about pH.. Grow some plants.. Simples.

Welcome! :styles rasta:

Keep it simple to start, don't jump in at the deep-end.

Some links to get you started:

As BBG said, start your own journal and document what you are doing, if you are unsure to start, put a "proposed" set up in there and let some peeps here help you get going. AFN is great and there are so many awesome growers willing to help!

Good luck man,

Dazed..

Hi Kenobi

I wouldn't claim to be an expert hehe, but I can point you at a few killer journals!

Take a look at this months BOM competition thread

https://www.autoflower.org/f30/august-bom-pom-35255.html

If you see a plant you like the look of, check out the journal! Usually people start their journal off with what kind of setup they have and some will keep notes of Nute regime and PH etc.

Some won't apply as they'l be hydro or coco, but there'll be plenty of nice soil grows.

If there's one member who consistantly rocks in soil, it's TaNg. Take a look through his threads and you'll learn untold amounts about good practice.

Once you've got setup and a journal running, if you need any quick help, post it up in the Live Help Thread and one of the AFN team will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Hope this helps a little
All the best

Blue ^_^

Definitely not an expert, but I run into far less problems than I used to.
I use black gold natural and organic soil, fox farm trio + calmag nutes, and 6.5 ph water from RO unit. To avoid any ph problems, make sure you ph test whatever you put into your soil.
Fox farm is very easy to feed with, when cotyledons(first round leaves) start to yellow add 1/4 dose veg nutes and work up to a bigger dose every watering. When plant starts flowering, do the same with flower nutes.

Hey thank you all,

I'm going to describe my plan and everything I plan to you thus far, I want everyone's ye or nye.

So I'll start with pots, I want to use 3 gallon pots about three of them, I here the bigger the pot the bigger the plant, but I have one question in this area
HOW MANY PLANTS COULD OR SHOULD PUT IN ONE POT?... I'm thinking two!?

next is the soil, I've done so much searching and I'm leaving towards
PRO MIX ALL PURPOSE, which from description is everything a grower would want, now I'm no soil expert, but it sounds really good so here a link for you guys to check it, PLEASE DO http://www.promixfindgrowtopia.com/product/detail/pro-mix-ultimate-all-purpose-mix

lights were a battle, at first I was gonna go with CFL 50w, BUT! After reading DrAutoFlowers thread, who in consider a expect, I changed my mind and decided to go with 250w HPS, BUTttttt I have a question about this matter too,
with the CFLs it said that you have to change the light, "6500k (Daylight) for Vegetative cycle then 2700k (Soft / Warm, also referred to as Red) for Flowering cycle"..my question to you is will I still have to do so with a HPS light?

For nutrients, thanks to you all I've decided to keep it simple and use fox farms 3 pack combo, but I really don't want to burn my plants, so if any of you use the product and have recorded EXACTLY what you give your plants IN DETAIL.. I would be very grateful if you shared that with me. And if anyone chooses to, plz leave out the abbreviation and stuff.. Like "nutes" took me two damn days to figure out what the hell that was lol

so please if you can help me with like I said I would so grateful
and for those who and I'm in America AMERICA!

Hahaha this made my day lol I remember those days bro. Nice to meet you.

Here's my answers to your questions:

1 plant per pot, 3 gallons are a good size.

promix all purpose is not a good choice for you, as it has controlled released nutrients for 9 months that could bun your plants if you used it with the fox farm trio nutrients, keep researching and find one that has less fertilizer.

A 250w HPS is good for the entire growth from seed to weed, BUT if you used a Metal Halide bulb for the vegetative stage you would find the plants like it more. The MH bulb isn't crucial, it just helps. Many people grow with only HPS and get great results. Make sure you research about proper cooling and ventilation as HPS, even 250w, can get warm.

Never used Fox farm trio but a general rule is to start feeding at 1/4 or less of the dosage instructions on the label. Also, your soil type plays a factor too. Like I said earlier, some soil types have nutrients already included. If you went that route, you would not have to feed for a few weeks.

Also you're gooing to need a pH meter. But make sure to research about pH levels AFTER you choose your soil.

Remeber, decide one thing at a time. Start with soil. I recommend using a soilless type like Promix HP, which only has seed starting nutrients. But maybe you should check out Fox farm soil types since you want to use the fox farm nutrients and are generally easier to use for new growers.

Yuhh!! America!! :Sharing One:

1 plant per pot brotha. that way roots wont get tangled. on ur light setup metal halide bulb till she starts flowering then change to high pressure sodium bulb which will be more red spectrum. I think pro- mix u have to start feeding right away so I would suggest an already nutrient rich soil that would feed ur plants for the first 3-4 weeks. fox farm ocean forest mixed with happy frog works well for beginners. just make sure and check the ph after mixing together and add lime till you get ur soil between 6.3-6.8. that should take bout 10 days to start reacting, in the meantime setup ur grow space. make sure ur temps and humidity in ur grow area are pretty stable 75-85 degrees and round 50% humidity more if u can during seedling stage. if you can afford it the perfect tool to have is an accurate 8 soil ph tester. also gonna wanna pick up digital liquid ph tester so you know what ph ur putting in her. theres lots of growers on here with many different techniques that im sure will be happy to help you harvest your own bubonic chronic. peace oops thought promix ap was non fert sorry
