Indoor EXPIRIENCE WITH AN open grow ?/ northern lights auto & bubblelicous non auto feminised

High folks, whatup?

I'm a bloody as beginner, haven't got a lot equipment due to being a poor student, so my setup list wont be that long...

Well, i ordered five nirvana northern lights AF, only one survived...guess i touched the roots to much or done something wrong with the paper towel method...whutever! one baby came out of earth 'bout 10days ago, is looking healthy and just pushed out the first 3finger leaves :clap:

what i've done was...ordering 5 bubblelicous seeds from nirvana too...but non auto... put em directly into their final pots in plagron growmix, we'll see what hapens. grandad says he can do his tomatos so he can do that too...told him everything i read about it (j. cervantes) and so on..

setup:

an empty room, mostly white walls
400w hps, pretty big reflector
one cardboard of the lamp i glued aluminium foil to in the background (haven't got any more cardboars yet:no
a van, during daytime it's turned on 15 min every 3-4h, at nightime every 45mins for 15 mins
thats it...

Whatcha think? is my space "too big"? Is, if all germ, 5regulars and 1 older auto, enough light there for 'em? anyone got knowledge with the strain? glad fo every advice i can get on it!

hey there mate welcome to AFN... what do you meen by the cardboard? dont put carboard near the 400w hps youll burn down your house.. and i think 6 plants in total is too many for a 400w id go with like 4plants... What size pots are you using?
With your Fan id recomend leaving it on 24/7
no experience with the strains but plenty of people have grow NL and im growing Auto Bubble at the moment using CFLs Si

:thumbs: good choice on pot size mate.. What is it your trying to do with the foil.. You dont want the foil to close to the plant either coz it might burn the shit out the poor girl In your big empty room why dont you put the plants and light in the corner and stick ur foil to the 2 walls of the corner Si

thanks mate, i thougth 10L would be enough space for them babys =)
proble is the room is under the roof, so one side is crooked and no way to hang the the light there... on other side there is the window with a heater benath .. in general i just hung the lights too fara 'away' from the walls...
no one has more expierience bout open grow ?

You're going to loose a lot of reflected light by not having side walls. I would recommend moving your grow into a corner and making two partitions for the other two sides, one of them moveable to you can get into the area to work on your plants. Also, don't use foil. It doesn't reflect light evenly and can create hot spots. Get some mylar or Panda film instead, or paint the walls white.
