I am looking at getting a fanspeed controller off Amazon and I see two that might be good based on reviews at least one has reviews and the other does not.

The first one is Active air by hydrofarm and a few people said it was ok in the reviews and others said it was cheaply made and could cause a fire.

Then there is one called Speedster fan speed controller that I don't believe had any reviews.

They are about the same price but the active air comes with free shipping sooo I dunno I just want one that is not gonna start a fire hehe.

What do you all think about these two controllers?

Do you know a better option?

I have this one and like it. Google Amazon and fan speed controlers.

Hang on homie, hang on. I have one question for you. Is your fan a variable speed fan? If it is get one by all means, if not it is NOT recommended than you get one. The coils in your fan are designed with a voltage intended to run it. If you supply voltage to great or to little to it other than what it is designed for you are creating a possible fire hazard. Best of luck! Be safe bro.

i have a ventech 4" fan and i use the same speed control as namvet posted works fine

I'm not saying it won't work, but.... I'm not going to try and explain it. Be safe brothers.

Hmm well I sure as heck don't want a fire, and heck you guys are using it without issue so now I am just confused.
