Hello all!!
I have set up a 5x5 grow tent in a basement. Im running 2 600w Viparspectra LED lights with a 4" inline fan ventilating air out with a passive intake no need for carbon filter as im in a legal state with good security. I do not run the fan all the time as i also have a co2 bag in the tent.

Im planting 5 fast buds auto girl scout cookie seeds and i am expecting them to break soil today! I have added a oil filled radiator and 12" oscillating fan into the room sense taking these pictures to move air around and create a breeze to strengthen the plants. I would love input on if the oil filled radiator inside the tent will be a safety issue? Ive had no humidity issues running things without plants over a few days though.

Im using 5 gallon buckets with fox farm ocean forest soil. I have picked up the fox farms trio, bushdoctors, kangaroots, and some calmag but I honestly have no idea what I am doing when it comes to feeding so any help would be appreciated.

Not really sure what I can expect for results from this grow but im very excited to get started and hoping to learn alot from you guys as ive seen some incredible grow journals on here. Thanks in advance for any help and hope you all enjoy the show!

Welcome to the Forum bro and congratulations on starting your first to grow.

Can't go wrong with fastbuds gear. When your seedlings pop up you're going to want to put some humidity domes over the top of them just some clear plastic cups and be fine. You'll want to have little air flow underneath the Dome you know maybe a pencils width at first.

Nothing popping up yet 48 hrs sense germinated seeds went in soil! Thank you for feedback I cut the bottoms off some bottles and put them over seeds as humidity dome does it look like it will be effective? How long do I leave them on?

That'll work just fine, once they sprout be sure and lift them up and put something underneath them so air can flow. Your seedling should take off pretty quick under those domes and within two or three days you won't be able to keep them on anyway.

Thank you! Will update when I see some progress! Room is staying around 73-77 degrees with humidity from 63-40%... is 40 to low? I'm not really trying to buy a humidifier already running a large dehumidifier to dry out entire basement I set that to 60% so was hoping it would keep the tent closer to 60 but lights and heater seem to dry things out.

The humidity is okay, I like to stay closer to 60 for young seedlings but by the time I get into flower I like to be around 40. I also like to keep my temperatures right at about 80 degrees they regularly very more than one or two degrees either way. That's a preference with LEDs with HIDs I prefer down around 75. The LEDs don't have all the infrared radiation to heat your plants up from the inside so they can tolerate or actually need a warmer environment.

I suppose if I were to consider putting any heater in my tent, it would be a radiator heater. I'm not comfortable doing that, so I have my radiator heater in a wooden, two drawer file cabinet that is pushed up to one of the lower screened tent windows and the inline fan sucks in the heat making all nice and toasty.

With regards to Ocean Forest, that is a hot medium, so it won't require nutes until approx 3-4 weeks in. I have a Girl Scout Cookie coming out of the oven tomorrow.

Welcome to the AFN forum. Looks like a nice setup and you should be on your way in no time soon as the girls pop their heads.

3 just starting to peak through when I checked on the before work! I have my lights about 22 inches away from buckets due to fear of hurting plants is this to far/close? I hear a lot of different distances when it comes to LED
