I’m hoping someone can help me determine what is going on with my FastBuds G14. I am growing it in a tent with a FastBuds GSC under the exact same conditions, and the GSC is doing great. Both germinated and were transplanted into a mix of Happy Frog/Coco Loco on November 2.

My G14 leaves are curling up on the edges of the larger, fully-formed leaves. New growth looks great. Color is green, no discoloring or brown anywhere. It is a little smaller than the GSC, but may be the variety.

Tent is 70-75 degrees, humidity ranging between 45-65. Autocobs, one per plant, running 24/0. 5 gallon fabric pots. Watering about every 3 days, alternating ph’d water and ph’d water with MegaCrop at 1/4 strength. I noticed the problem with the leaves before beginning the MegaCrop, so I don’t believe the problem is caused from that.

I have raised the light up and down with no apparent effect.

If anyone can think of anything else to check, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have attached a couple of pictures of the problem.

How close is the light?.ocassionaly a leaf may look different but this happens and nothing to worry about unless it continues on more leaves. Is there any reason your running lights on 24hrs?

The light is at 28" above the canopy right now. I have varied it from 24" to 36" with no difference. I've been running my lights 24/0 due to reading many of the prolific growers here running that way with good results. This is my first indoor grow (first grow in 30+ years) so I'm trying to follow the ones that I noticed have been successful. I wasn't too concerned about a couple of the leaves originally curling up, but as the plant has gotten larger, it is happening on more of them. I searched, but couldn't find anything specific to the G14 strain that might react this way.

Usually a leaf will curl like that from heat stress or lights to close but you have neither of those.Get back to us in a few days with an update.

Thanks for the input. I moved the lights even a little higher to 32", and cut the temperature in the tent, even though the GSC is not showing any stress. I'm going to do a flush tomorrow to see if that helps whatever is going on. I'll update when I figure out what's going on with it.

I flushed the plant this weekend, and then did a cal/mag feed. I also discovered a couple of fungus gnats flying around when I moved the plant around, so I treated the soil with neem and covered with a layer of sand. I ended up catching 5 gnats with the yellow sticky traps, so hopefully got a handle on that before it got out of hand. I don't know if fungus gnat larvae can cause the plant to do what this one has done, but I feel I've attacked the problem from every angle I can think of at this point. The plant is not showing any additional evidence of discoloring, etc. Unless something else happens, I'll just ride it out through flowering to see if anything else develops. Thanks all for the suggestions!
