"Officials at the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) on Monday gave state licensed cannabis retailers permission to offer one pre-rolled marijuana joint "to adult consumers who receive a vaccination at an in-store vaccination clinic. The promotion, which LCB calls "Joints for Jabs," aims to promote and support the state's vaccination efforts, according to LCB's news release. They added that they received multiple requests from cannabis retail licensees to help in the efforts."

Have you been vaccinated? I got the Pfizer vaccination first in March and second vaccination in April. I thought I was going to die 10 hours after the second shot. Received the shot at noon, was fine until 10:00pm at night when my body felt as though I was being hit with a baseball bat repeatedly. Body temperature dropped to 94 degrees. Was up all night until 7:00am in the morning then was unconscious for 22 hours and lethargic for three days. I won't even consider getting a booster shot. I have been vaccinated for just about everything at one time or another due to military and work. Never had an issue until this vaccine.

I was holding out for the J&J vaccine, but it was not available in most of my state. One of my sisters finally got it and had no side effect from the single shot. Now they have plenty of all three vaccines because everyone that wanted it already got vaccinated and you can choose which vaccine you want and get it anywhere in the state.

I got the Pfizer first and second. Other than bruising and soreness at the needle spot on the second shot, I had no reaction. Ditto for my wife.

Your reaction to the shot sounds pretty atypical. Do you have any allergies? Did you ask your physician about your reaction?

A friend of ours got pretty sick after her second shot, but her symptoms included those of a bad cold, so my opinion is that she came down with either a cold or Covid coincidentally at about the time she got her shot. There is no way that either of the M RNA vaccines could have produced her symptoms. She refused to get tested, so we will never know whether she had a cold or covid.

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear you had such miserable side effects. They sound bloody awful. Having said that, I think you may want to get advice from your doc about avoiding a booster. When this virus gets cranked up in the fall, the Delta strain or something worse will likely be the major strain, and getting sick with it could be worse than even the side effects you experienced.

Good luck with your decision. :pighug:

I've read numerous articles of people having severe reactions to the vaccines, they suspect those who already had the virus may experience the severe reactions. A couple of my neighbors got the shots just days before me and had extreme reactions for 24 hours. My other sister's family had the same vaccine and had no issues. I have not had any cold or viral sicknesses since 2008 when I retired from working in a prison on the Southwest border. I worked around illegal aliens and would be sick constantly with viral infections from working in an institution where most of the inmates were from third world countries and had never been vaccinated for anything even childhood vaccinations. Thing that were controlled in the US in the 1960's through vaccinations would spread through the institution due to the third world inmates having never been vaccinated.

I've been vaccinated for just about everything more than once in my life. Smallpox, plague, yellow fever, all kinds of diseases. But I wouldn't get vaccinated for anything just for a joint.
