Hmm... I wouldn't give her any nutrients. In fact my hasty ass would perform a flush with pH'd water (it can't hurt, can it? :dunno:)
I haven't seen deficiencies that look quite like that, nor have I seen deficiencies on plants as young as that. Therefore I'd say it's a nutrient burn.

Attic you say? I agree it could also be a fungus (or pests?) and so you could try getting some garden spray-fungicide thingy. Maybe consider an air sterilizer if your wallet can take it? An Airfree should keep fungi at bay.

Oh, and my plants were soaking up quite a bit of sun from the very first days. They absolutely loved it. Don't entirely rule out light problems yet, though.

Cut my losses...mi5 germinated

So basically guys I cut my losses with the HBD. Carefully snipped off the big dead/infected leaves and applied a little honey to the wounds, gonna see how it turns out in my mini-greenhouse. Ive just germinated an mi5 from Short Stuff. Going to grow it completely outdoors/greenhouse, no where near the attic as I have a feeling it caught some kind of infection from the stagnant air up there. Ive also ordered biobizz Root Juice, Bio Grow and a CalMag suppliment to go along with my Bio Bloom. Amazing how much you learn from your first grow even if it is a disaster haha. My pH tester came today so im going to test the soil as well. However I have a feeling that I have may have packed the soil in a bit too much, which couldve potentially caused the problems I had. Who knows!

If anyone has any feeding tips for using the bio bizz stuff that they think would help a newbie out please let me know! Photos to follow

Peace :smoke:

You can wait quite a bit of time until you have to feed in my experience. 3-5 weeks I'd say. BioBizz should behave just about like any other nutrient.
You shouldn't be able to pack the soil too tight since it has perlite, vermiculite and all that good stuff. Don't pack it at all just to be sure.

Hows it going Greek? Whats the latest on the HBD? Any recent pics?

I'm following your post with baited breath as comments on mine have made me nervous about overfeeding/rootburn and also heat stress. Thankfully, so far so good though: https://www.autoflower.org/f6/outdoor-uk-first-time-journal-ref-34201.html
For what its worth, when a plant is in stress (whatever the cause!) I stop all feeding, I water well (but not too often, let it dry out a it before the next one) and leave it in light shade for a day or two and see how it responds.) Some time on simple diet in an unstressful atmosphere will usually do the trick (a bit like a few days in bed if you are ill). If it is heat burn, new growth should come through clean. If its nutrient burn, you will need to flush out the soil over a few waterings, and keep it nute free for a while (remember, photosynthesis will provide the energy for new growth)

Good luck sir!

Hi Somerset. To be honest the HBD is a bit of a frankenstein at the moment.

I havent got a lot of hope for her since I trimmed off the really nasty leaves. I have a feeling it was some sort of fungus rather than heat/light stress or ph problems. I gave her a good flush after I chopped the leaves and dabbed honey on the wounds. Since then all shes had is some root juice and water as I thought it might help a bit. On a positive note the really new leaves that are coming up from the centre seem to have lost the dark tips they had. Even if they have barely grown haha.

Ive planted an mi5 from Short Stuff as well, hopefully she'll pop up in the next few days. Gonna keep her outside away from my attic and see if she copes any better. Fingers crossed. :peace:
