Hello there people of AFN!

I'm totally new to growing, this will be my very first one. I will start it only in 2015, but i start this thread to discuss if i'm right or not. So first of all, i live in lat 48, in eastern europe. My garden will be in the mountains area, around 600 m above sea level. The main temperature in the summer is around 20-25 celsius degrees. I didnt spotted the exact location, it will happen this weekend. So if i find it, i will update with photos.=] There's a well in the top of tha mountain, if i can find it, i will place my girls near it, it would be a lot easier. I think the place will be OK, it's 5 km away from anything. And the rest of my plan:
soil: i will use my own composte, it is from 10 years of cutting grass on my yard, so its a really nice cured compost full of nuts. i will mix it with some coco, some of this hydro-gel thing (i want ti minimize the numbers of visits, because for 10 plants you can get 5-10 years in jail in my fcken country), and some bat guano from local store. I dont believe in these super-duper growshop soils, i think they are overhyped a bit. And of course overpriced. I want to keep my budget really low. I will use plastic bags like brown dirt warrior. I thoght that i will do this in the fall, so it can rest in the winter and spring, and my girls will be planted in a relaxed soil.
seeds:i will use 4 strains: sensi super skunk, dinafem blue amnesia xxl, cheese xxl and haze xxl, 3 plants of each. I will plant them in 3 location. My plan is to germinate on paper towel and then put the seeds right into the soil. I will put the bottom of a 2l PET bottle with some holes on each, i think it will work like a little greenhouse, and it will protect my little girls from animals. By the by, animals. I will use biodegradable poison against snails, and a deterrant against deers and rabbits that is very pupular in my coutry and its very effective. It has two components, component A contains mercaptan, component B contains butyric acid so it stinks like hell.
Nutrients:maybe when they will in the flowering stage, i will give them some special thing for flowering, but beside this, i wont. I think my home compost and bat guano will bee good enough. Of course after i set the right pH.
watering:like i said, i dont want to visit too often, maybe once in a week or two, i have to manage the watering problem. The spring ok, its raining a lot, but the summer is another thing. My idea is to dig some holes, and put PET bottles inside them, then cut the bottom of the bottles. Maybe it can give me a few days.

So what do you think? Will it be ok? i will update soon wit photos of my future garden=]

It sounds like you have everything figured out. To bad it's going to be in 2015. The only thing I can see that might be a problem is how often they get water. It may be to much or to less depending on conditions. I really like the home made compost your going to use . The strains you plan on growing sound really good. I have never had a seed not germinate using the paper towel method. There are many different types of ways to germinate but that one seems to work well. Looking forward to seeing those pictures and good luck on finding the water well. Keep posting .

The seeds are ordered, i'm so excited...it will be really hard to wait until next year. Unfortunately i cant do an indoor, its too risky.=[

Well hello, so, because april is really far away, and i'm really impatient i've decided to start a super stealth indoor grow.=] I have an old Chieftec Dragon case, it's big enough for one plant i think. Somewhere around 45x20 cm and 70 cm high. I will use Plagron light mix, and home made led lights. I will do my own led panel, with 3w osram power leds, red, blue, and a few warm white. My plan is 75w...will it be enough for this little growbox and for one plant? And what should i start with? Cheese xxl from dinafem or with big bang auto from GHS? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.=] Oh and by the way, i've managed to find the well, and some really sweet sunny spots in the forest. I have a plenty of photos, but i'm working now, and my camera is at home. So i'll update tomorrow with some pics.=]
