So attempting my first gorilla auto grow. I've done a few photo gorilla grows 8+ years ago in college with unproven genetics (ie dank bag seeds) with decent luck. I wasn't able to keep an eye on them much and most young girl transplants ended up shemales by the time harvest came around. What could I do? I went to school 3 hours away and only came home a few times after fall semester started. Anyways, I'm high so I digress.....

I purchased 10 Vast and Fast autos from Heavyweight on Herbies. I'm at 41N lat in America's heartland. Any thoughts on how these do outside in this climate? Or thoughts on this strain in general? Only concern is the occasional farmer spraying his crops so that leads to my next question. To top or not to top? I'm looking to keep them 3-4' or lower.

I live in the middle of fuckin nowhere so I should be able to tend to my lil midget ladies quite frequently. So anticipating prepping soil and using nutes. Any obvious suggestions?

BTW I'm ecstatic that I found an auto forum since this is my first soiree into the auto realm.

I don't know about actual smoke as I am still growing my Fast & Vast but so far she is awesome. She grows fast, and seems to not care about much. This pheno type is awesome, short, fat and bushy. Mine is indoor in hydro and she is sitting at about 20-24" above the medium and then her main cola sticks up about another 8-10" above that. She is sitting at day 59 and the main cola is the size of your fist and she's still going. There are 10+ side colas that are getting pretty big too. The only pic i have right now is from 10 days ago, it will at least let you see about her shape/size. I think you will be happy, I am so far. TMM

Welcome to AFN! Need any help, just give us a shout. Outdoor is a whole different ballgame! Look for my mate, ep, he is a outdoor guru! Plenty of outdoor guys and gals here to bounce things off of! :welcome:

ILG,

Welcome to AFN. I'm no guru, but check my link at the bottom for last years grow. They were mostly photperiod plants but a few Auto's got through. They are so quick compared to photo types.
Please take some pictures when you get going, we love to see Autos outdoors. Good luck!

cheers, eP.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I plan to keep a diary too as I'm kinda a photobuff. That's actually my cover story if stumbled upon. Shitty part is carrying my tripod around with me since I'll be at the site only at night. One memory card for photos of the girls and one with night shots like below.
