that is awesome. I started two and one ended up a male and to top it off they were not even autos like I was told. But I'm at day 69 now and its looking like yours just not as many tops. I have been updating my pics in my album. I don't know how too share links and shit but if you want to check them out I wouldn't mind your input.
Thanks
Thanks. If you have your pictures in an album already it's pretty easy to post them in a thread. Just go to your album, click the picture you want to post. On the lower right where it says BB code there is a box with a link. It starts with , just copy the whole line into your post and the picture shows up.
I'm just getting started myself so I'm not really an expert but I had a look at your album. It looks pretty good I think. What I try to do is to even out the canopy as much as possible. That way all budsites can get close to the light. I use twist ties after the initial scrogging to fix the tops where I want them. During flowering I would keep the light around 2-3 inches away from the tallest top.
Could you try to get some more pictures, perhaps from a above and from the side? I can't tell from the pictures how much is sticking up above the screen. Ideally you only want to have bud above the screen and not too much stem. I go for something like 4-6 inches above the screen. The light doesn't penetrate much deeper than that anyway if the canopy is dense.

[quote="no1da, post: 486843"]Jus stumbled on your grow dirty budstar... Respect to you on your 1st grow :Cushty:, i got a similar set up to you as in tent size, cfls, but got 2 automazar and 2 autobluberry from DP.. Wasnt sure autos liked being trained or scroged but you shown me it can be done with good results.. Was confident of putting 4 autos in there but seeing your grow i might jus give it ago.. Can i ask how you watered pots at back while scrog in place??[/QUOTE]
4 plants worked out pretty well, they don't get that big with this pot size and light. I think some form of training, LST or scrog, is a good idea when growing with CFL since the light intensity drops off quickly as the distance increases. For watering I use a 2l watering can with a hose attached. I measured the spout of the can and got a hose with a fitting inner diameter. The one I found is to connect a washing machine to the drain. Then I just pushed the hose over the spout. It's a bit awkward initially but you get used to it. To get the run-off out I just use a sponge cloth and a bucket.
