New Grower First grow! A journey of learning and hope

Hey also I only saw Maxi Grow listed for nutrients. Do you have them on bloom nutrients yet? If you use Grow nutrients during flower the are going to stretch like a mofo...

Yes I've transitioned to MaxiBloom. It about 1/2 grow and 1/2 bloom. Next res change, probably tomorrow, going to 100% MaxiBloom.

Just a heads up, by now you should be full flower nutrients.. I bet you could bump up to 1000 ppm no problem

A problem has just occurred to me. When I planted them the were growing at the same rate, until I broke WW#1. I think now she is a about 2-3 weeks behind WW#2. As they are growing in the same 10" netpot, I'm going to have to juggle the final flush time. The only reasonable solution I can think of is, to run WW#2 a week or so longer than would be ideal before I switch to plain water. I'd rather sacrifice a bit on her quality then on WW#1's crop size. Any other thoughts on this, I'd be glad to hear them!

UPDATE: Day 54
Res Temp: 62.8
Room temp: 70.2
PH: 5.8
PPMs: 905

Changed the res today and added fresh nutes. I raised the ppms higher than I had planned to.We'll see if it is worth it. Switched to 100% Maxibloom. WW#1 is looking like maybe she'll catch up to WW#2 development wise, she's really packing on the flowers/buds! Just over night i see the difference. Looks like the stretch has either slowed or stopped, we'll see...lol. They have a slight piney sent but not real strong, very pleasant! WW#2 is looking real nice. Don't think she's going to be a big producer, but as healthy as she looks, I think I'm going to have some fine buds. Geez, I just dying to fire one up! Hurry up girl! lol

Say what you will, I'm quite pleased with the General Hydroponics Maxi series nutrients. My plants have been healthy every step of the way, with no deficiencies. This time I'm using tap water, bubbled for about 6 hours to let it get up to room temperature, so only partial dechlorinization.

All three of my tanks are using just cheap, two outlet airpumps with 2 airstones in each tank. just to get my started in the beginning, I bought an 8 pack of cheap 1" cylinder airstones. I've got some good, 5" disk stones coming. I believe my pumps are adequate I don't think these little stones are enough to max out my pump. Seems to have done the job though, my roots look great! I'm really loving DWC, its so simple once setup! Feed them once per res change, monitor ppms and ph, wait a week, change the res. Watch them grow! What's not to like!

I bet those WW are so early in flowering that by harvest you won't see much of a difference in the buds maturity, they could be different phenos and take different lengths of flower. Nothing wrong with Maxi nutrients, I use similar nutrients but I buy the raw salts and design my own mix, its cheaper and gives you more control. I know a lot of people that use Maxi and grow great buds.

Wheres the pics?

Yeah man i get you, i have the same problem one is well a head of the rest, so i guess the best thing to do is go for the one with quantity and sacrifice the smaller quality. I bet it makes up with more quality bud so it not really any loss.

Well i have time yet so I will cross that bridge when I come to it. WW#1 is looking like it is maturing fast, they may be closer than expected near then end. And I guess either way, it won't be a big sacrifice.

Also, I added 3 40 watt CFLs so that WW#2 could get a little more light, WW#1 is hogging the light lol!

Either way pop they look setup to produce some killer flowers

Thanks! I'm very, very pleased with this. I really didn't know what to expect when I jumped into this, but they already look better than I ever thought they would! I thank AFN for that, I've already learned a lot here.

Hey Pop,
things are really progressing well for sure! Way to go!!
You got that right about learning and such. AFN makes it almost easy, you feel confident that you CAN do this gardening thing and if you have an issue there is help only a few keystrokes away.
