New Grower First Grow - Auto AK

Hey everyone, as I have my setup complete, I thought it would be a good idea to start a journal.

Grow Room - 55x50x110 (cm)
125W CFL Blue (Veg)
300W CFL Red (Flowering)
140mm PC Fan (Intake)
Carbon Filter with RVK 125mm fan (Outlet)
1 Auto AK seed
2 Gallon pot
Biobizz Light Mix
Biobizz Nutrients

The girl is 12 days old and nothing but water so far. 20/4 light schedule. The temp is around 75ºF (25ºC). I Have not feed the plant with any nutrients yet. So far going good (I think).

I am using this to test soil moisture and ph at the moment:
B&Q pH & Soil Moisture Tester, 0000003713044

Could I leave it in the soil? or should I invest in something better?

Hey! A am using the same one! I only trust it for moisture though. Mine tells me the pH is way high. I did an experiment that leads me to believe it is not and right around 6.0. Ran high (7.4, 7.6) and low (4.0) pH'd water through some of my soil and it came out around 6 both times... Leads me to believe the soil is buffered pretty well. (it is Happy Frog and ProMix) The meter tells me it is 8+ so just a heads up!
Oh and I leave it in the soil... Don't know if good or bad though, sorry.

Can't wait to watch your progress, as my first grow was only 6 months ago.

There is nothing more satisfying than partaking of the fruit that you grow yourself.

It's pretty awesome tending to and watching your girls grow also.

FYI, I have had great success using straight HF for seedlings, with well over 50 plants now. There seems to be enough nutes in the s8 mix for around 4 weeks.
