I'm gonna scrog my next grow, also. I read that, with autos, it's a good idea to start the net at about 8" above the soil. Watering does seem like it will be a bit tricky, especially with multiple plants, but it think something like this

would make it a bit easier. Also, there is some company in the UK, I gotta find their link again, that sells individual screens for grow pots. They're actually pretty neat. Anyways, I just wanted to put in my "My 2 cents"! Be eazy, Dread!

Nice one bandit! Im definately planning one, hopefully next grow if I can get everything I need. I'll need to upgrade my light to 400w, and I think I want to use one big net that takes up the whole of the tent. Its only 80×80 but I think I'll be able to squeeze 4 plants in, and ill keep the pots on the knee high white table. (It will be much easier to get to the pots on the table for watering etc, and if im putting the screen 8" above the soil, that will put it just under halfway up the tent which sounds perfect. I think a scrog would look weird on the floor, the plants would only take up the bottom quarter)

The only thing to consider then is fans, as my tower fan wont be able to fit in. If I get a wall mounted occelating fan, im sure I can find a way to bodge it into my tent and that would be perfect! Lots to think about, I think scrogs going to get me some huge yields in my tent and I cant wait to get started with it. Haha! Have you got any ideas about your scrog dude?

Day 41

A quick update and photo as it p**sing it down and im stuck indoors; not much to report though everythings ticking over very well, number 1 is still miles ahead of the others, and the tall number 3 is stil lagging behind, although im definately seeing advancement with her, slow albeit. I'll get them out of the tent for a proper photo shoot in a few days, im trying to move them as litttle as possible now! Peace out AFN

DAY 43 - WEEK 7

Hey everyone, it's time for a quick update and some photos! I got them all out of the tent for a little tidy up just now, removing any dead leaves down low on the plant and just giving them a quick check over. Im on week 7 of my nute schedule so im feeding them 1ml/l grow, 3ml/l bloom and im throwing in 1ml/l topmax. I hear a lot of people say it's pretty much worthless to use topmax, but I got it so might as well throw a bit in. Can't hurt right? They're being fed/watered about every 3 days now, and I got a bit caught out yesterday and left it slightly too long for number 2 and she was quite wilted mostly down low, but she looks great now. All the tips are slightly singed from the nutes, but from what I hear, this means I'm right on the money with the nutes? Tell me if I'm wrong though! Temperatures have been great now summers f**ked off, just watching those buds grow now!

Plant 1
She's motoring along nicely, shes a lot darker than the other 2 and a lot stockier with much more developed buds. I think shes the best looking at the moment, and definately has the biggest buds. A bit of yellowing going on near the base, she looks very healthy otherwise. Is this normal to be happening at this stage?

Plant 2
Still towering over the others (especially 3) and starting to pickup the pace a bit with her flowers. She has a really nice structure to her branches with quite a lot of space between. I'm hoping she'll bud up like number 1, she's a good few inches taller so HOPEFULLY I'll get a decent yield from her.

Plant 3
And last but not least we have super freaky number 3. She's the shortest still, but her flowers are more advanced than 2's. Now her base is cleared of foliage a bit, I had a good old look at her trunk and it looks like a T, the trunk splitting in two about 4" up and going horizontally in opposite directions. I couldn't get a good picture, but I'll have another go with a better camera at some point soon. She has plenty of bud sites and is taking up the most space in my tent. She is a beauty though!

Have you got any ideas about your scrog dude?

Yeah, I actually already built my screen, so I'm ready to go! I started to put it to use for this grow, but made a couple of mistakes that took away from the effects it would've had, so I pulled it up. I won't make those same mistakes this time, though! I put the screen 12" inches above, instead of 8, and my light wasn't high enough up, so she wasn't doing enough stretching to fill it in. For the little bit of time I had the screen on, watering was tricky, so I am going to get that pressurized watering can with the wand, which should alleviate any problems. Those plants are looking good, Dread! That's a mean as first grow, dude!

sounds like a good idea that 400 watter your plants are looking good bro couple weeks of thickening up on them buds and your gonna go crazy lookin at em! job well done so far dreadlow.

Seem to have what I thinkis a cal/mag deficiency going on.. I'll order some today but it wont be delivered until next week.. how serious is a cal/mag deficiency? Theres a few rusty spots on leaves, mainly near the bottom of the plants and very lightly advancing up. A few lower fan leaves are yellowing but I guessed that was normal from them not get enough light. Sorry I dont have photos, ill try to get some later, but quite easy to describe... rusty spots.

If this is cal/mag deficiency, is there anything I can do to help while im waiting for the delivery?
