New Grower First Grow- Autobubble

Thank you so much dazed! Yeah i figured thee was no coming back for the leaves once the plants sucked all the goodness out of them, I'm trying to slow down the spread on number 1 though, she'll be out of leaves within a week if it doesn't haha! I'm pretty sure she's going to be done early.. hoping to fatten her up as much as possible first though! Like i said to bandit, if you have any wisdom for me in regards to drying weed in a closet, please let me know! Take it easy bro!

The problem with drying in a closet is odor control, it is for me anyway. I dry in the little cab I built to start seedlings in, which has 2 small intake and outake pc fans, works really well except for the smell. To combat this, I strap an ona block to the outside of the outake fan, put a bunch of holes in the ona pot so the air can pass through and voila! Drying is a tough one if you can't do it in your tent, I feel your pain bro, but let me tell you, once that dank is hung to dry, the smell gets insane! Don't want to jack your thread bro so if you want to pm me I'll send you some pics and info to build yourself a drying cab.

Peace,

Dazed..

Cheers grim, that's all fine with me, i would hate to rush her! If she goes a bit longer it means she will get the light all to herself for a bit.... means i will have to rethink my drying strategy for either of the others if they finish first though. I was going to use the tent, but i also have a fitted closet which is empty. Theres no ventilation though and a cant put any holes in or anything. Would it work to leave the door ajar? And sick a fan in for air movement? I've read that they shouldnt have fans directly on them too... i want to be prepared for when the time comes!

Yah dude, I'm trying to stay one step ahead of the game with my research and try my best to be prepared! I'm not usually one for panicking, It would be heartbreaking to lose it at this stage though! Just holdin the course bro, topping up my grow nutes just to keep everything sweet. If you have any opinions on what I've aked grim, above, i would love to hear them. Thanks for the support dude, can't wait to see your next project start!

No problem man im glad i could chime in is all. I have done exactly what you just described and it worked great for me. Just keep a small fan in at the bottom on the wardrobe (pointing away from the buds) and keep the buds up high and you will be just fine. Its not recommend that it be done this way as im sure you know but if there is no other option then it just has to be done. Nothing to worry about usually just check daily for mold and open the doors a little wider for a few minutes each day just to get some fresh air in. Your only problem is now your house is going to stink.

Thanks guys! Happy to know the closet will work, even if it's not ideal. The smell shouldnt be too much of a problem, my bedrooms on the 3rd floor of a house and with the windows open, the air tends to flow up and out pulling air up from downstairs. I can always smell what people are cooking, Haha! Hopefully this will mean not too much smell will get into the house, plus I'll plug an airfreshener outside my door.

Thanks once again for the help bros, dazed, i would love to learn how to build a drying cab but i really don't think i have space in my bedroom for anything and still have doors and closets being able to open... how big is yours?

:Sharing One:

Bro sounds like we are in similar situations housing-wise! I stunk the whole house out last night chopping and triming though haha. My cab really isn't big enough, I'm going to have to dry in the garage from now on.
Going to get me a couple of these to hang in the garage, may work for your closet too bro?

Hey bro thought I'd throw in my two cents worth.. For drying I use an AFN favorite, brown paper bags. They help to lock in smell and taste too. What I do is take a bag, line the bottom evenly with buds, none overlapping, close it, and stick it near the intake of my grow tent. I also have a fan that blows over the tops of the bags. Never got any mold like this, and they dry very slowly which is a good thing.

The smell is mostly contained inside the bags too, and everything else is sucked in thru the intake so no smell leaves my closet. Here's the discussion https://www.autoflower.org/f23/drying-brown-bag-19673.html check it out.

That is excellent advice/link, I dry/cure in 3 stages, 2/3 days hanging, then into the paper bag method as you mentioned, then finally into jars.

Thanks bro, I like your style, very safe way to do it!! "AFN smoke out"

Haha yeah wicked idea, just ordered myself some brown paper bags. A couple of days hanging in the closet, then I'll bag them up by the intake. Im still using the carbon scrubber that way, winner winner chicken dinner!

Ordered my chopping tools today too, some 8" secateurs and a pair of edward trimmerhands bud trimmers.

A huuuuuuge thanks, once again to all of you for your advice and kind words. You all rock!
