New Grower First Grow(Balcony/Window). Auto Diesel Berry grow journal.

I have placed the seed in the soil and i'm so excited. Do i have to water the soil now or just wait a few days because the soil is already moist from the pre-planting flushing process.

You just don't want the soil to dry out is all. On the flip side, you don't want 'soil soup' either. I would wait until tomorrow or give it a light misting tonight. I mist with a spray bottle morning, noon and night until sprout and never had any problems

Diesel Berry sounds delicious btw. BOL with the grow :gthumb:

Yeah it sounds really delicious. I carried the pot and it still felt a little heavy and i placed my finger to the first knuckle into the soil and it felt a little dryish so i just misted/sprayed the top of the soil with some water and it feels moist now. And also i'm not sure if i dig the hole deep enough but when i was feeling the soil i accidentally touched the middle part and some of the top soil got moved and i was able to see the top of the seed and i can see some orange/brownish thing coming out ? I'm really worried...

Anyway i just checked the ph level of my tapwater and the average of it is 8.1 and the ph of my compost is 5.5-6. Can i still use tapwater or should i use distilled bottled water or rainwater ? I don't have enough to buy a ph meter and i definitely would not want my plant to die. Maybe i should boil the tapwater ?

There are tiny white bugs in my soil and i did some research and i think they might be Springtails.

I also have a question, when i use my finger to check the moisture of the soil which part of the soil do i stick my finger into? Close to the edge ? Or like around in the middle near the plant ?

Day 2 Report.

Okay it's been day 2 since i planted my seeds and i'm surprised at the rate they are going, it's amazing being able to see the plant grow a little by little everyday !!

I have had some issues which i asked about but no one answered them sadly :/

Well anyway i took 3 pictures, one is when the seed sprouted and the other two was taken today to show progress. I'm not sure if i should water them yet because when i lift up the pot it still feels a little heavy but when i stick my finger into the soil it doesn't exactly feel moist or really dry but anyhow i still spray some water on the top layer. Cheers guys and stay tune for more :D: IMG_4191.jpgIMG_4195.jpgIMG_4196.jpg

Hey guys, some help here. It's 5am here now and the temperature is 81F and the humidity is 89% but usually in the morning till afternoon it ranges from 81F to 88F and the humidity decreases till 59-66%. Meaning it will usually be high humidity at night till morning(before sunrise) and in the morning to afternoon the temperature will be higher but less humidity. Any help with this ? Like should i give lesser water or more water ? My plant is like 4 days old. Some help please, i'm getting really worried !!

Hey killernecrox, IMO just relax and give the plant good vibes. They are really resilient little things and a good rule of thumb when dealing with these guys is "less is more". It can live a lot longer with a little water in the soil rather than if its flooded so just keeping the watering schedule simple and consistent,.:2cents: Your doing great things man keep it up! :smoke:
