New Grower First Grow - Dinafem White Widow Auto

So, currently setting up for my first grow. Just got some dinafem white widow auto seeds. Planning on doing one plant to start with. I have some smart pots and a pro-grow 180 LED on the way. I have a fairly large closet, maybe 12' by 6' (approximate). I have central air and heat. I'm also not too worried about stealth as I live on a 3 acre farm that I own, but it's fall right now, so too cold and not enough sun outside right now. I wasn't planning on purchasing a grow tent, as the closet is in the center of the house, so no windows, no outside light, and the temperature and humidty will be kept in check. Can I get some thoughts on this?

Yo yo! What up Jonah, sounds pretty good bro. Even with the central ac/ heat you will want a fan blowing on ur baby.. If you don't already have one ready.. And a ph meter to make sure things are in order. Can't wait to see how it turns out! Much luck!

More important than a fan blowing on the plants(circulation) is air replacement. Your closet needs fresh air being pulled in and the old being pulled out. Also, the real benefit from those leds comes from the reflective wall of the tent. Without that light being reflected back at the plants the unit looses a lot of its power. Another thing to consider is to get a carbon filter along with your extraction fan. Your plants will stink, and no Ona Gel or other little gimmick will cover it up.

I grow with a blackstar 240 unit in a little 2x2, you'd be surprised what you can push one to do!

What grow tent would you guys recommend?

Just placed an order for LEDWholesalers 48" x 48" x 78" grow tent. I read some good reviews of it on here. Here's the link if you want to check it out http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004C51VWA/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

LEDs work best when you grow within their core penetration area. For that light, that's probably an area about 2' x 2.5', so don't expect it to cover your whole 16 sq. ft. of grow space in that tent. To effectively light that whole tent you would need 4 of those lights.
