Whats up guys? Well this will be my first grow ever and I decided to go with Dutch Passion's Autoberry and Dinafem's White Widow. Got the seeds from Attitude shipping was fairly quick, no problems.
Anyways, I am on a pretty tight budget being a college student so my setup is not ideal but it will get the job done. I'm workin in a 3 x 3 x 5 space under a 400w hps lamp, 400w iPower ballast with an Apollo GW 19 reflector in a 5 gallon reservoir with 4 3 inch net cups and a bubble stone. I was originally planning on just growing 2 plants at first since it's my first time but I'm thinking about adding a third in there. The grow has not started yet but I will be germinating the seeds tomorrow :dance2:
I was gonna see what nutrients people would suggest for a decent price. I'm thinkin about the Jungle Juice Grow, Micro, and Bloom combo or the Fox Farm trio mix...hmmmm????
Well by the looks of some of the plants around here:drool::drool: :clap::finger:I can tell you guys know what youre doing, so all advice is greatly appreciated. I have done a bunch of research but there is still a loooott to learn so bare with me fellas. Happy growing people:smokeit::bow:

Welcome to AFN, Geebin! :smokebuds:

Congrats on going ahead with your first grow! Exciting times, no?

I'm a soil grower, so I can't offer any advice on hydroponic nutrients. However, I know the Fox Farm Trio for soil is a very easy system to use as a beginning grower. I'll see if I can get someone more familiar with hydro in here to give you some better help.

:smokebuds:

Very exciting, for sure!! :jump: Yea I have been strongly considering those. Has anybody had experience with the pH perfect nutrients? Haven't really heard much about those but seems like they might be worth the extra $$ if it doesn't alter your pH levels

welcom fellow farmer....:smokebuds:

The pH Perfect nutes is a new growers best friend, the Jungle Juice line don't have the pH Perfect ingredients. I'd go with their Grow, Micro, Bloom. I personally use their 2 part Sensi Grow and Bloom. But, like KS stated your water source needs to be on the soft side.

Thanks guys!! Is there a difference in hydro nutes and soil nutes? What size bottles would you recommend getting that'll last a full grow?? 16oz? 32 oz? :smoke:

EDIT: So i decided to go with the Jungle Juice 1L grow, micro, bloom trio...just ordered them online today they should be here next week!! From what I have read feeding should start about 3 weeks in and at 1/4 of the dosage recommended?? or 1/2??

Hey hey so the show had begun!!! :booya::dance::booya::dance:Ended up germinatin 2 of each a little over 24 hrs ago and put them on the water heater so now its the waitin game....hopin all 4 will come through. So I did some more research and decided to go with...........View attachment 147889 I found a good deal online and just wanted to make it easier for myself by not havin to adjust the pH levels all the time. I also just ordered Voodoo Juice, Carboload, and Bud Candy...I have read these work really well, if you have had some experience with them let me know how they worked out for you
I read that leaving water in your fridge for 24 hrs is suppose to drop the pH level, but I did that and it still read 7.2-3...i have a crappy pH pen so it could be off but it's still nowhere near where it needs to be. I have a couple pH +/- packets that came with the pen I can use, but other than those what can I use to lower the pH level? Thanks in advance for the help. Happy smokin

Ok so the seeds are in the rockwool now under the light...i knew the hps would put off a lot of heat but temps are gettin up to 90-95 F, and humidity is around 30-35% but is getting as low as 20% :( I have been spraying my grow room with a water bottle every couple hours to increase the humidity, but besides that is there anything I can do to increase it? Also I have my light about 5" above the rockwools and they are getting very dry...is that too low?

Hey what's up man I'm also trying how to grow a white widow from them how was yours coming along
