New Grower First Grow Ever- HYDRO - Auto - Journal

There's a table around here somewhere on ppm... I'll see if I can find it. For starters keep it low. Between 0-100 with no nutes.

Just keep your ph in the 5.5-6.2 range and you'll be fine. I think 5.8 or so is ideal. You just adjust it up or down using drops at a time to move the ph. Practice doing this a few times and you'll get the hang of it quickly. Also after adjusting let the water sit in your bubbler for a while and then test the ph again. Note what happens and remember to see if it drifts up or down and by how many points. Smaller volumes of water equal bigger drifts. This will help you keep an eye on your ph as you grow, so you'll know what to expect.

yea... my meter isnt workin right. i tested various liquids

I thought mine was broken when I first got it too... But then I checked my cities water dept site and it confirmed the readings. It just turns out I have really shitty tap water for growing hydroponically.

Do you have a PPM/EC meter, or a PH meter?
its just a PH meter, im going to purchase a ppm or combo meter soon here, working on my humidity and temperature problems right now. I just got my temp to low. have one fan blowing inside, and an exhaust fan. i thought i'd never get it down from 100, but i jus came back and its dropped to the high 80's so i plan on getting one of these

my distilled water, and my tap water read the same PH of 8.5. i think that rules out my meter. idk. i figured the tap would be more acidic.

Distilled water can definitely be that high. I use store bought RO water now that comes in around 8.2. Once I add nutes its in the 6's and then I just have to add a few drops of PH Down and I'm good to go.

My tap water is closer to 9.5. No joke. Your meter might be just fine.

Definitely work on getting your temps lower; I've heard that higher temps can force plants to hermie. Can't speak from experience because I'm so new at this, but its something I'd watch out for if I were fighting high temps (I have the opposite problem, at least for the next few weeks).

so on that "nutes" note, i have sense bloom 2 part, and it promotes that it has an auto adjusted ph end result for waters from 4-8ph range and will even them out perfect, is that true? cause the reading told me that i had no need to check on/worry about my ph leveling

You should still check your PH, Mix your nutes and let it settle for 10 min or so, check your PH and adjust if need be. I use the PHP line and I always have to adjust my PH, well 9 out of 10 times anyway.
:smokebuds: :peace:

They have just broken ground. Ive gotten further than i thought lol. The seeds have all broken ground, no leaves yet, but they all have come out of the rockwool and are standing. thats 4/4. now we need to keep em alive. If im correct i wait til the seeds have produced their first three leaves before starting nuts right?
