New Grower First grow ever - jack herer auto

Hi everyone! New to AFN here. This is my first grow ever, so I'm a total newbie and thought I'd come and get everyone's advice and help.

I'm growing a Royal Queen Jack Herer fem auto. I think she's doing well so far but let me know if she's behind in growth any. I was originally going to do two but the other seed was a dud. She'll be 2 weeks from sprout tomorrow. Just wanted to see if she's in line as far as growth (I think she'll be more bushy than tall) and what you think of my cheap newbie CFL setup, lol.

I'm using an organic soil mix with about a quarter perlite. I have a mix of 10 CFLs and temps (more veg than bloom temp due to what I could find in wattage) and over 15000 lumens. I was going to start feeding with 1/4 strength tomato nutes once a week. I'm pretty much just watering whenever it's a bit dry. So I'm not like watering a whole liter at a time (I know some people do a 3 time a week water schedule). Do I need to start bloom nutes when pre flowers show? I figured that'd be about week 5.

Any criticism/advice is greatly appreciated as this is my first grow. I was also wondering if autos needed trimmed any during their lifespan, I haven't touched her since I know it could bother growth since they're so speedy. Just let me know what you think and I'll try to keep updating this weekly and respond to anybody. Can't wait for her to be done. I've actually never had GOOD GOOD stuff so I just thought I'd grow it myself. Done a lot of research and hope I'm doing everything right.

Thanks! I've been doing 20/4 light schedule with her so I may crank it up and see how she does. She's my pride and joy but I wish my Blue mystic seed hadn't been a dud. :/ Been wanting to try that.

Sadness!!!! A light fell on her and burned her a bit, but nothing too major, she just got her first dose of tomato nutes so hopefully she'll be perky in no time!

1 Dont cut leaves!
2 Use air-pots and dont over-water!
3 think about your own safety and people surrounding you!
4 Better to buy premixed light soil ( unless your experienced )
5 Get your numbers right, PH EC temperature and humidity!
6 Better to have one plant less than an overcrowded space!
7 Double check your measuring tools!
8 Keep your growspace clean
9 Dont get to funky on supplement, unless you know what you are doing!

Also had a couple questions, as my first grow, when should I do LST or if at all and what technique? and for some reason I click on pics to enlarge them but it says I don't have permissions, why is that?

Check, check, and check, thanks for the tips! I bought a premix organic and just added perlite because it was dense, I'm a pretty experienced gardener (read: non cannabis) so over watering isn't too big of a concern for me personally though I always keep an eye on it. I got a therm/hygrometer for temp and RH and as for PH I have amazing water PH somehow and it's triple filtered when it comes into the house so I think it's pretty good. I really appreciate the time you took to help!

I just finished the Advanced Seeds version of Jack Herer. Stuff was the same as takiing speed for me. I couldn't even sit down for over an hour. Pure energy. Couldn't do anything either though, I was just pacing around my house happy and so amazed by this strain :roflcry:. Not much stone to it, however mine is still curing. One of kind strain imo.

Thanks man! I was wanting something more cerebral so I got the herer since it's so much Sativa and all I've ever had is basic indica shake that you get around where I live . I had a Blue mystic seed but it was a dud, so I need to find another auto that's indica that's good. I have a somango auto from advanced seeds yet to plant but I've heard it's a good one to just smoke through the day, not too heavy. I got some free seeds too but they're regular and I'm not ready to try a photoperiod yet. I'm glad it's so good and you'll have to tell me how it is after it is cured. :Sharing One:

PH needs to be at 6.5 if not it will go to shit at around week 5 or so.
