New Grower First Grow - Iranian Autoflower (fem) in hydro

I used to use Rapid Rooters and had the same thing happen. You can take a pair of tweezers and gently lift the seeds out, turn them over, and place them back in the rooters.

Yeah, I was thinking about doing that, but when I pulled the lid off the incubator they just looked so puny and tiny that I didn't even feel like screwing around with them. I put 3 seeds in party cups last night with some coco/perl/s. moss, we'll see how that goes. If they look good by day 10-15 I may throw them in some larger pots and just grow in soil. I bought some strawberries today at the nursery to put in the hydro setup, I figure I can have that out in the open as a "cover" and then keep the cups in the closet on the sneak.

No signs of sprouts...I'm okay with that, but they only have about 48 more hours to poke their little heads out before I get suspicious that I've yet again hosed something up.

2 shoots showing as of this evening :dance:They're under the blackstar 240W @ 20/4...approx. 30 inches away from the tops of the cups. I moved my 150W HPS to my strawberry plants in the hydro medium. 2 more IAF beans soaking as backups to the backups. Still waiting on my GT50's to show up to cover the smell.

All three are sprouted. The seeds I'm soaking have just barely popped, so those are going in there in some FFLW with added Perlite.

You will be impressed with the GT50.. just had to chime in, I have a room with 10 plants and finally had to put a second one in use to offset the flowering. They are amazing little things.

I read several of your reviews, that's why I went with it. I have 2, one is deodorizing my bedroom right now (stinks like dog farts from my pitbull) and the other is in the closet with the plants.

I set up a pot for transplanting with some FFHF. I've been running PH'ed water through it at about 6.5 to try to "stabilize" the soil...well this morning just for giggles I decided to test my runoff using my shaker kit, and it was as bright red as red gets. Glad I decided to do that...will definitely be pursuing some dolomite lizime this weekend to add prior to moving my girls.

Bottom line...CHECK YOUR SOIL BEFORE YOU TRANSPLANT!

My 3 girls are doing "good" I guess... It's my first grow, so I'm being hyper-neurotic about everything. I got a couple of 'em toasted by not watering properly (I was trying not to over water, go figure) but I think I've figured out a good schedule. The 2 plants that are in FFLW/Perlite are doing well, the one in the coco/perlite mix is a little iffy, but overall I should be ready to move 'em by the end of the week at the latest.

Always a good idea to check the pH of the soil first. Fox Farms has had some quality control issues over the past year and we've seen some significant variations in the pH of their soils right out of the bag.
