My grow box is approx 2 x 2 ft with 2 small autoflowers that were previously outdoor. I bought a 6500k 130 watt growlush cfl with approx 8000 lumens and im wondering will it be enough?

also am wondering if its in a little cabinet and the door is open just a little with a fan going will that be enough air circulation? cheers.. and yes i am a rookie!!!

Hey auto :)

That sounds like my kind of setup ^_^
The bulb will be fine, although its a blue bulb for vegging and you might want to consider swapping it out for a 2700k bulb when you get to flowering :) (in fact you can use the 2700k flowering bulb all through an autos grow to good effect - I have, but never tried a blue start to finish)

As far as heat goes, you'll need a decent fan to pull heat out of there - it will still get too hot with the door open. Ideally get yourself a 200cfm (or bigger) fan to pull heat out, attach some ducting from the fan to carbon filter and you won't have to panic about the inevitable smell when it hits 5 or 6 weeks in :)

Hope this helps

Blue ^_^

Edit... The circulation fan is fine for blowing the plants a little which will make them strong and keep some of the cfl heat from them - bit the overall heat will need to be extracted :)

Thanks alot blue,
Not sure ill have enough money to get new equipment just yet so ill try and finish this grow with what i have :)
I think one of my seedlings is going to die soon doesnt seem to be doing anything.. ohwell

Your 6500k bulb will develop more trichomes than a 2700 but much much less bud density and size. Thats on a macro scale. In your size it will work just fine. You need two fans. Big one out little one in. Big one on the top to take advantage of convection. Get some airfresheners. Better safe than sorry.

can you post any pictures of your box? and the seedling?

time for a few photos of things so far,

The plants are a healthy colour but what are the white spots on the leaves of the larger plant ?

All the best,

nibs.
