New Grower First Grow RQS northern lights and royal dwarf (autos)

Hello new to growing thought I would start a journal for my first grow I am growing one northern lights and one royal dwarf both autos from royal queen seeds

- seeds: RQS NL and Royal Dwarf

- soil: Biobizz lightmix with extra perlite added

- nutes: Biobizz grow topmax and bloom dutch pro take root. plan to use molasses also

- pots: northern lights is in a 11litre pot and the dwarf is in 3litre (small pot I know!)

- setup: at the moment its in a small cabinet which I have made suitable for the first few weeks or so will be getting a DR60II tent with carbon filter and extractor soon

-lights: 200watt blue cfl but have a Prakasa 180watt (90 actual watts) LED, I will use this when I transfer to my tent along with a cfl


Royal Dwarf is currently @ Day 12

Northern Lights is @ Day 2

Temps are between 25-27 Degrees

Any suggestions about setting up the DR60II tent with extraction and carbon filter would be great or anything to be aware of with these strains or growing in general much appreciated.

This is the Tent I plan to use to those unfamiliar with it its 60cm*60cm*160cm

This is the Prakasa LED I will use

Looks good. I am on my first grow as well. I am on day 21 with 3 nirvana auto blue mystics. I started with cfls and just purchased some leds. Your plants look great. There are a lot of people on this site willing to help so don't worry about asking any questions as your grow progresses.

Thanks faded quick question if you can answer I read that molasses is good for organic soil to prevent nutrient deficiencies is it worth using and if so when can it be used?

got the dr60 tent setup and have the prakasa led and cfl inside the Dwarf has grown quite a bit and so has the northern lights which I gave first feed today sorry about pictures will upload new ones again

just wondering also if it would be ok switching to a dual spectrum 250 watt hps when they enter the flowering stages? would that stress them and if not would there be much of a difference in terms of yield?

Yes a 250 hps in flower will make a world of difference but use both the hps and the Prakasa you will get the best results

Nah won't stress em to change bulbs, people do it all the time. Idk about yields tho, no hps experience

I have the DR 60, too. Love, love, love it :hug:

I'm at day 63 of my first grow and have stuck with CFLs from the beginning. Planning to use CFLs for my next grow, too. I've been happy with their performance.

You're looking good :thumbs: Plus, you're totally in the right place as far as support and advice go. Ask many questions, read many posts and HAVE FUN!!!
