cream caramel baby and purple cheese.

this is going to be really delicious.

goodluck and looking forward to the updates.

Hey guys sorry for the delayed updates but I still have not got around to buying a laptop. Think I will wait til black friday for a deal. Today my Cream Caramels are 15 days old (since they broke soil). First purple cheese is 8 days and second is around 5. All doing lovely! CC's got a "seedling" feeding 8 days ago and will get a "pre veg" feeding today. Both PC's got a "seedling" feeding yesterday and so far are loving it. Theres a couple pics of my tallest CC gal in both my avatar n profile pic. Damned phone will only let me change those. My biggest girl is right around 10 inches with leaves as wide as the 3 gallon pot shes in! I believe they are all loving life right now. I did have one issue with a couple of them getting heat stressed a lil, but re did my exhaust so that the hot air is vented OUT of the room and all is VERY well. Cheers guys.

Sounds like they are doing well. :bong: Also, WELCOME to AFN, sending lots of green kharma to ya. :booya:

Much luck and one love:booya:

Tips for the GO Box nutes:

-Use 1/2 strength of the recommended dose until week 3.
-Week 3 and beyond go full strength, yes, even with autos...this stuff is VERY different than chem ferts.
-Use only chlorine/chloramine free water (distilled, Dasani, or reverse osmosis) as either of those chemicals will kill off the microlife you're trying to encourage
-Don't use the fish-based product on a strain that finishes in under 10 weeks...I used it on one of my fast finishing photos when I first got the kit and the fish smells stays for a while. I would use the fish fertilizer on photo plants that veg for 2 months, then flower for 10-12 weeks...OR use them very very sparingly.
-Be prepared to throw some chemical ferts on there if they don't look happy...I would give my results with the GO Box a 6/10, and that's having used a couple of permutations of their formulas...RO water, tap water, not pH adjusted, pH adjusted, etc., etc. Ultimately I think you need to use the RO water and not pH adjust the solution, just hope the natural buffering of the soil does its job properly.

Thanks for that info low. I did 1st feed at quarter strength and 2nd at half. I am using unchlorinated well water and was planning on doing a feed, feed, water schedule. Is that too much or should I be feeding every watering?? With the nutes being mostly organic not sure exactly what would be best. I did use the squid fert once and will probably not use it anymore. What other kind of chem ferts do u think I might need low_and_slow? Any pointers to help keep me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated! Also forgot to mention I have not been ph'ing water/feed just as they suggest. Cheers

I think feed feed water sounds great, with less total fluid volume being used for the feedings, then wait till she dries out and water through heavily. I wouldn't necessarily jump to chems, but my point was that I've seen some grow logs where people had to supplement with a little N in order to keep their plants happy through the lifecycle.

Give it a hack using just the GO nutes and keep your log up to date...the more experienced growers will help diagnose issues if you keep fantastic notes here and can provide normal-light pictures of any deficiencies or problems. This thread is a totally different ball of wax than what you're doing, but a side-by-side comparison of GO versus GH nutes in a waterfarm: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=243556

Appreciate the feedback bro! I have seen a couple of grows with the same issue. Interesting.. I also had a chat with a guy who claims to have a remedy for that particular issue. I have not put it to test personally but plan on doing so shortly. He mentioned that instead of the normal transition from grow nutes to bloom nutes he brings the grow nutes down to quarter strength and gradually raises the amount of bloom nutes, maintaining that quarter strength of grow throughout flower until flush. He says with the added N he rarely gets a dead leaf. Thought this was pretty interesting, especially because autos like their grow nutes til vertical growth stops. Any thoughts on this?? I will definitely be doing some tinkering around with ratios when my ladies are flowering. Peace

Well, I will say this...in my travels through the canna-net (internet cannabis sites, lol) I've found a lot of people that believe in a steady-state nutrient ratio instead of a fluctuating veg/bloom schedule. The Lucas method comes to mind...that formula uses simple 1 or 2 part chem ferts in a constant ratio throughout the plant's life...keep the ratio the same, adjust EC by diluting the nutes with RO water. So I guess to answer your question, yeah, I think that sounds legit. I would probably drop the extra grow nutes out within the last 2 weeks of the plants' life though so that the leaves naturally "autumn" off and the buds ripen without the added fertilizer...but really just for the last 14-20 days. If I were going to take a hack at the GO box again in soilless, I'd probably do a 1:1 ratio of grow and bloom starting at pre-flowering and then keep a 1:2 ratio once the calyxes were fully formed and swelling...lots of playing around you can do, and the beauty of organic is that you can't really lock out your grow medium with excess salt if you screw it up!

Another thought would be to follow the box exactly and then throw down a high Nitrogen compost tea...a little EWC/Mexican Bat Guano/Molasses/Kelp/epsom bubbled for 2 days in RO water would help keep N in check throughout the lifecycle...that's what I do when I grow in super soil, I use an N heavy tea throughout the first 6 weeks then do a bloom tea at the end then my final tea is a recipe from The Rev's guide to indoor organic cannabis...it's called a "finishing tea" and doesn't have any of the really acrid amendments in it so the plant can finish off sweeter and with less fertilizer taste. I won't plagiarize the recipe out of his book, but it's basically EWC, Fox farm Big bloom organic, kelp, and a tiny bit of molasses (which you have to cut out of the final waterings or you buds taste tin-ey and harsh).

True that thanks again for the knowledge bro! I guess I have a little more room to play around than I originally thought. Well I checked in on the babes and at 17 days old 2 of my CC's showed sex! Isnt it a bit early? Oh well pistils are poppin now the fun begins. Oh yea! Lol. Pics up mayb tomorrow frm my cousins comp. Laterz yal
