First grow - Think Different Autoflower (Fem) by Dutch Passion Seeds.

Soil: Growise Multipurpose compost (Manufactured by Bord na Mona)
Lighting: 2x 23Watt (Tesco) CFL.
1x 150Watt Prakasa Seven Spectrum LED
Nutrients: Non existent at present - Need to learn more.

Originally had three beans but looks like one isn't going to pop correctly. Germinated in a glass of water and then on a plate with two damp sheets of kitchen roll.
Currently the plants are outside in the open as I'm waiting for pay day now to buy a cabinet that they will live in. This is why I am not using the LED light as of yet.

Day Five

Had to place a decent bit of soil around the stem of the plant as it seemed as if it was stretching like crazy. Its already 10cm and it's already had 3cm covered by soil to prevent it tipping over.

Currently the CFLS are not in use as Iv no where to hang them from.
I'm planning to start some low stress training in a week or so.
I will be getting a press from Argos to enclose them tomorrow as well as ordering some BioBizz nutes and Mylar tonight.

Day Eight

Just placed an order for:

  • 1 Litre BioBizz Grow
    1 Litre BioBizz Bloom
    500ml BioBizz TopMax
    250ml BioBizz Root Juice
    5M Mylar

I notice some of the newly developed tiny leaves have yellowing on their edges today. Hoping its just light bleaching, I've moved the lights further away from the plants now.

Got the press unit all set up today and hung the CFLs.

Ill coat the inside with a lining of mylar once that arrives during the week then I can also focus on nutes.
After hearing the BioBizz Topmax isn't worth piss any truth in this?

I've a bolt lock on the inside keeping the front door locked on the cabient.
Access is through a hinged door on the back.

Day Nine

Day Sixteen (Sprouted 18th July)
I got myself some mylar but was stoned glueing it on, ran out of super glue.
Got myself destroyed in it and I don't think the fumes did me any good, went to sleep dying sick like a terrible cold not much better today.

Started lightly to LST my largest plant. Also have started using Bio Bizz grow 1ml/1L and .5ml/1L of their Root Juice product.

My girlfriend has a regular photoperiod plant growing in the setup to. Its a ultrasour fem from ThSeeds.
I plant on having to veg it untill the autos are done so it may very well be a big plant that will have to endure alot of LST and fimming when it gets bigger.

Day 21 (Three weeks old)

Sadly they didn't like the nutes, to much to soon. Or at least that's what I think it looks like.
The little young Ultrasour is doing well day five for her.

I've put the TD autos back on plain water and will be put back on .3ml/1L of Bio Bizz Grow nutes and move them up accordingly week by week after that.

Hopefully the yellowing of the leafs goes away, ill be monitoring it closely over the next week. I think I caught it early and responded accordingly so not to worry about them :)

Is it just me though or do they seem a bit short for 21 days old? Lovely and bushy though.

1/2 the lowest dose on their bottle biobizz grow says 2-5ml p/ltr, I'd use 1ml, then after one more feed go up it to 2, then 3 and so on.

but they do seem to be small what is the temp in there please

you what to get a small fan in there even a pc fan will do to take old air out and new air in all so a small fan to blow over the plants to help make the stems stronger

DIY Carbon Filter

  • Pot Noodle cup
  • Activated carbon granules
  • Elastic band
  • Ladies tights
  • Mylar tape
  • Drill

good luck with you grow

Think Different - Day 43.
Ultra sour - Day - Day 27.

The power got cut off for twelve hours today. Perked right back up when I got the lights back on them. They are looking very healthy now and the little ultrasour photoperiod is going great :D

The Think differents are doing good as well :) Started to LST them as they were just growing reallly bushy and tight with branches pointing straight up through the canopy from the bottom O_O

The cabinet also got a few upgrades.
Upgraded the outtake fan and carbon filter dramatically. The old one couldnt even push the air through the super chunky filter (which I apparently made wrong it was just a big roll stuffed FULL off activated carbon.

I also upgraded one of my bulbs to a 50Watt CFL (4200 Lumens) The old tesco CFL I had was 23Watt but only 1300 Lumens.

Thinks are picking up :D

My temps were way up all along in the 90's in the 100's even at times 110 for long periods.

I just recently got a thermometer and a humidity gauge and just noticed now day 40+ for the Think Different's.
So I decided to beef up the fans again, instead of all three fans being powered off of a 12volt 1amp adapter I beefed it up to a 16v 6.8amp laptop power brick. . . . jet engines like fans :D

Pics below :) Hopefully getting the temps constantly down to the mid 70's // mid 80's they will prosper.
Think the initial stunt to their growth from the high temps constantly (except when I left the doors in the cab open) will continue to effect the future growth over the next 40 days, or is their some hope for a bit of growth spurt.

I cannot stress enough prior to this upgrade the plants were being baked alive in the cabinet this has massively upgraded airflow and temperature

My greatest difficulty with this grow has been creating the grow box and adjusting it to be suitable for prosperous growth I think I have taken a big step closer now.

Pics below.

Hello after seeing the your thread about the think differents thought i would come see as we are both doing small low power grows. What size is your grow space? And what size are your pots? The temps definatly didnt help but i i think you may be trying in too small a pot, i will keep watching from now though good luck what ever happens its better then buying it

I like it! you doing fabulous brotha man Whats the soil mix you using?

Be careful brother watch out using cardboard and wiring!
I wish you the best, but better safe than sorry!
Be critical to yourself on safety of yourself and your surrounding!

:gthumb:

That is very true. It is not safe to grow in cardboard, please reassess your grow set up. Wood is a much better idea.
