I'm about a month in on a mystery bean and started some LST. Was wondering if the method I used is the most effective or what.. Will post a pic

Take that off and let it grow natural your first time. That plant is small for a month old so don't stress it anymore. Just focus on when and how much to water. Light distance , temp , and the basics. Get down the basics and then research lst methods for future plants. I'm not trying to be a jerk I'm just trying to give you honest advice. The way the leaves are sagging looks to be over or under watered. this can be very hard on a plant especially when they are young and small.

Sleazyb has given the best advice you can get.
Take it easy and grow a healthy plant.
I wish I'd done that my first time.
Yield can come later.

Echoing what was said above. Also, you really have to take that tie wrap off those leaves asap. That is not the right LST method and you are hurting the plant right now. Seeing that you did that tie wrap, you are obviously a newbie. And your plant is not growing that great for a month. So work more on the basics to at least get a good harvest out of your first plant. Don't worry, this is normal. I think everyones first plant looked like yours bro! I know mine were mutants!!

Great advice above. When your ready to start try something easy like ponytailing. Only have to do it like three to four hrs a day for like 2-3 days. That alone does a lot and the plant barely feels it. Then u just do some leaf tucking and that alone can create a nice canopy.

That's where I have them. How about during veg? I think I had them too far

I do about 24 inches during veg sometimes more if I need more stretch height. 18 inches for flower or even lower in some cases. This is all approximately. Some strains or plants might need something different. Or some plants regardless of strain but more about how they are growing for you at that time might require different heights.
