Much better pics thank you!!! And can you give me a link to the exact seeds on seedsman? I want to do some investigation on the seed. I grow mephisto genetics almost exclusively. They have amazing genetica and great plants. They have a 10%discount for afn members and good service if you go direct. But the stock at seedsman is good.
I see something that resembles trichomes on the sugar leaves. When you rub one of the buds in between your fingers do they get sticky and have a smell? Sorry if I'm slow to reply. I'm not home so I get messages as I log in
Also you dont look like you're quite finished yet, but I need to see more photos that have clarity like that. How do your fan leaves look? Is the weeks you're basing your grow on the breeders suggestion? Because you might have a longer flowering plant.
Do you have a jewlers loupe? (Or a magnifying glass to see close up on the plant to see the trichomes?
ah, the randomness... me was just about to make one reply in one vein, then *boom*, up popz the pic, requiring a slightly diff approach, lol
anyhoooo....now that me see a better pic, i'd say that unless it'z a trick of the light, i'm def seein what look like trichz to me on the leavez me know ur givin it hell & me do commend u for that alone but, if there'z any way u could get a pic that clear, but even closer in, it really could/would tell a lot more...it'z hard to tell if there'z crystalz on the budz themselvez, or just the leavez again, it may be a trick of light, and i'm jus seein the texture of the leaf material, hmmm....
well, at any rate, me wanted to jump in & speak up again anyhow, becuz hey, at least imho, u urself have done nothing wrong...again, i can clearly see that u've given it hell, and still are, and i for one commend u at this point...oh wait...me wanted to ask -> u said that they're "8 weekz into flower", but exactly how many dayz old (from sprout) are they-? that info could help make a judgement call at this point
so anyway, don't do anything rash right away, lol...jus water em & let em go for another couple weekz i'd say, cuz sumtimez, ya jus never know if however, there are still no sign of trichz at that point, well, u may well have to accept that, simply put, the dna of that one bean was skewed & misfired...aka a "mutation"...and while not exactly a commonplace happenstance, lol, it duz happen in nature all the time, for no rhyme or reazon, other than, u guessed it -> r a n d o m n e s s in other wordz, to be plain, it'z something you yourself have absolutely no control over...remember mate, it'z not the hand ur dealt, it'z how u play that hand u've done a top rate job so far the way i see it, so let'z jus hang in there a wee bit longer & see what happenz, eh-? :smoking:
Here is my humble opinion. The plant doesn't look that bad for it's age. Yes not much Trichs. If you bought from a 3rd party, that would be a possibility. Genetics play a huge role in Trichomes. Also, Fox Farm soil can have bugs. If you have bugs, gnats, or root aphids. Trichome coverage can be greatly compromised. To be sure, look closely in your Soil. If you have flyers, then you know that is a factor for sure. If no bugs, I say it is most likely a bad pheno or very low on THC. High CBD strains can have very low trichome coverage. I would not chop it. You may get more weight and sometimes trichs pour on in the last few weeks. If you have bugs, let us know and people ai give advice. Good luck, peace slowandeasy
quick update, got i nice glass to look over the plant, we do have trichomes all are clear. hairs are still progessivly turning brown still. thanks again for all the support everyone
