Hi all! So i have been growing 3 plant in hydroponics, now my question is, its more of a dillema, some of my plants have grown so tall while flowering they are taller than the lights!! What should i do? I'm worried about bending, some i tied to a rope as to not grow straight up to the light and burn, everything is going super except fpr this freaking problem, i did not expect an auto to grow this tall, any suggestions? My light hooks make them dangle down so i guess i can get some zip ties instead of hooks? Any suggestion will help as they still have 4 weeks of flower maybe if not more? Im kinda screwed haha, im using a 1000w chinese led and 2 COB lights along with it and using a small led t5 light in the bottom sides (9w) since these fuckers are so bushy:/ this was a huge miscalculation of plant height on my side, oh btw COB kick major ass!!!

If there is still some anount of stem material then by tapeing it back together you do have a chance of recovery.Help!!!!!? I bent one main colon and it snapped off!! I was just testing
Supercropping is great to keep branches away from those lights but stems in flower seem to harden up and lose that flex they have in veg stage.
If you need to do any more supercropping try very gently squeezing the stem betweem finger and thumb, then move round 90 degrees and gently squeeze again before trying to bend the stem over

I use a pair of needle nose pliers covered with masking tape. I gently pinch the cola until it is resting horizontally. I don't get hung up on the possibility of the cola being smaller than it could have been had there been the necessary head room. I'll make it up with the next grow.
Well i taped it, hope that fixes it tbh did a half assed job, the one time everything cause perfect my smartass screws it up haha

I had the same problem, and there is no viable solution.
You can bend, divert, supercrop all you want, but pretty soon there is no more tent volume to accept those bent stems.
The best you can do is create a U-shaped canopy by moving branches right under the light to the sides.
That will cover up some colas.
I've since removed the top of my tent and hung the light from the rafters.
I'm also growing at lower temp (about 75 F instead of low 80s) with an oscillating fan to thicken stems and encourage lateral growth instead of vertical growth.
Your problem really boils down to how do you protect a bigger yield than you expected.
Even if only part of that bigger yield is successful, this is one of the better problems to have.
My runaway growth problem resolved itself by a Seedsman White Widow renegade yielding 7.5 oz dry (bud + popcorn) in an allotted canopy area of 1.5 ft x 1.5 ft, that it didn't want to stay within.
