The good news is it's only the top half of the cola, instead of cutting the rot out I just threw it away. It's just not worth it. Any infected buds went in the trash even if I just saw a sight of it. I'd rather grow another one then cut out infected bud and risk getting sick. I don't have time to inspect the whole plant so I pray that it was just the top cola. Fingers crossed. The crazy thing is I kept a fan on her the whole time during flowering and my humidity never went above 46

It's rot when I cut it off it was all brown and fuzzy in the middle. But it's okay like I said it was the top half so I still saved a lot and hopefully still have the rest of the plant. I'll see tomorrow. Bad start to my day though that's for sure! But it could be a lot worse

I already tossed it. It's alright though, the worst part is I had to leave the rest of the buds just sitting on the table until I get off work! Hope they don't get flat and crispy lol it's only 9 hours. It's going to be hard to trim though. I cut them all of right at the stem so now there is nothing to hold. I don't want to cut them all in half to check for rot but I guess that's my only option. But I'm almost positive it was all in the top once I started cutting lower into the cola I didn't see anything.

I gotta tell ya, your Sour Crack cola looks a lot better than mine. That main cola going down, down, down. Looks great.
I will grow Sour Crack again, so much potential.

Huge bummer about the rot.
What about your grow room, can you spray with mild bleach solution to disinfect everything?

I'm scared to grow my toof decay now because it's just as dense if not more so! I kept my humidity low and a fan blowing at all time. I'll have to figure it out before I grow another. I think I caught it somewhat early though because it didn't spread too much. It's sad though because that cola was pretty much half of the plant haha now it's gone! I don't think I'll need to spray bleach because I don't think the spores went everywhere. Also I won't be growing again untill the last week of October so I'll have time to clean the tent out.

There are organic preventatives available, also an idea could be to try LST of the toof there by bulking up ordinarily smaller buds and lessening the size of a big main cola, may make it less vulnerable.
Or by letting the plant stretch out a bit between nodes like ronin does.

When you have a compact plant with very dense buds ideally a few fans at different levels would help, 24/0 for the last week or so could help too.
