Mephisto Genetics First Mephisto grow sour crack

Day 14 update not much has changed. The white stuff on the soil is diatomaceous earth just so you guys know fox farm soil comes with free fungas gnats! So the diatomaceous earth should take care of them. Anyway here's some pics. Sorry about the pics for some reason this site likes to rotate them

If your taking pics with your cell try a different orientation when taking pics. I use an android and I have to take my pics horizontal (landscape) with the volume key on the bottom

Yuck! Fungus gnats chewing on your tender roots. No thanks.

A couple of people here have mentioned problems with Fox Farms soil. I don't understand why it is so popular. They must have a great marketing team.
I think they used to have a good product and somewhere along the line they just went to crap and people kept buying it because it used to give good results. This was my first time trying it and I bought 3 cubic feet so I'm just running through the rest of it.

I used to like their Happy Frog soil too, but I started getting it with the free gnats too, this was over a year ago.

Quick update not really an update but I think it should be noted for the journal. I'm putting the sour crack under cfls in another room for maybe about a week. I'm harvesting my current red poison tomorrow and I'm going to use the tent for the dry. So untill the red poison drys the sour crack will be under the cfls. It shouldn't affect anything this early on.

Yeah it might come from the happy frog and not the ocean forrest but it's a 50/50 mix of the two I'm using. I can deal with the gnats I'm just hoping it doesn't create the lockout problem I've had on the past two. Fingers crossed that the Dolomites doings it's job. The last two showed signs of lockout around day 28 so we will see.

Welcome, I just got here myself. Lots of friendly helpful growers here. You are certainly an experienced grower if you noticed the Ph lockout, well done.

If I needed soil then I would buy the Potter's Gold that Margahooja is using:

I want to know when your Sour Crack has any noticeable odor, and when it throws the first pistils.
Just thought I would let you know pistils are showing now. So day 15 and pistils already I don't know if I should take that as a good thing or a bad thing lol. She still has a lot of growing to do so hopefully floweting doesn't come on to quick.
