Day 17

Plants have taken well to having their main stem tied down. All the little shoots and side stems have decided to try and take the lead on both plants. The left one looks much better though because of the way it branched out. The right one looks a bit of a mess but it will sort itself out when I tie down its side branches. Anyway some pictures for today...



Update: Checked the soil to see if there's any moisture in either of the pots but it seems very very dry. Drinking up water quicker than I expected so will get a full feed tonight of 1.5l water mixed with 1.5ml of grow for each plant.

Both plants fed 1.5l water with 1.5ml grow with little run off from my makeshift watering bottles lol

Day 18

Not a lot going on today. Plants look like they took well to the full dose of grow. Lot of new shoots. Not much vertical growth. Its getting wider and bushier. Did a bit of LST'ing on both plants by tying down the longest side branches but a lot left to tie down that requires a bit more growth to make it easier.

Also the way the nodes are spaced out on the plant is not making life easy for me. They're so close together. I'm guessing its my crap lighting?? Or is it normal for this strain? Anyway my first grow is now well on its way I suppose.

Also I'd like to add I've been using an app called Light-o-meter on Android to check the output of my CFL bulb. Right up close to the bulb there's like 14,330 lumens. Literally an inch away from the bulb there's like 12,390. Two inches away and there's like 10,200 or so. Lol and the funniest thing is the output drastically decreases even if you move the light a cm higher lol. I hope its enough light for both the plants for that 1 oz target of mine. I tried to get a reading off the Mylar in my grow room to test reflectivity but readings were poor. I honestly think CFL are better for limited spaces but hey ho I'm not gonna complain. Free bulb to get me started and give me enough time to save up for a the new Grow Northern unit.

I'd take all the readings with a pinch of salt since I have no idea how accurate they are or how accurate my distances from the bulb were.

Thanks guys its reassuring hearing these positive comments. Kosherkush that app also tells you the light equivalent of your readings. I'll take a quick screenshot of it.
