And perhaps for those who wonder what i mean by first time serious atempt , i had a small experiment a couple of years ago that got out of hand and resulted in this...

Start of grow

21/11 : After placing seeds in a glass of water for around 6h in a dark roomtemperature closet i put the seeds inbetween 2 moist cottonpads. And put the plate on an angle so roots would grow down.
After witch they where potted directly into the 11L pots with the biogreen grow mix medium and instantly placed under the 150W HPS lamp.

First growth did well and plants where looking rather healthy untill i overwatered the plants and got some algy on my medium. this about 2 weeks in.

One plant in particular seems a little strechted on the nodes by now , but this little seed has simply been growing faster at every step of their young life.

Followed by another rookie mistake after overwatering i briefly had them underwatered out of scare with the algy.

week 4

Clearly more indication of a nutrient block starts to show , aswell as some leaves in the top are develeping yellow tips and are a little brittle on the edges.
After a lot of research on sites including AFN , i finaly figured out the deal with the Ph of the water and soil. As i did not have any knowledge of this before , i have been feeding a water with a PH of 7.6 without any nuts untill beginning of week 4.

Week 5

Got myself a Tensiometer (blulab digital) and a Bluepen PH meter with some Canna PH- pro a fiew days ago. So they have been getting a new regulated 5.9PH roomtemperature water with a small increase on the nuts and a CalMag additive for 2 days now and specially the smaller 2 plants seems to like it. The bigger plant shows no indication of improvement but also no deteriation. The tensiometer does its job vey well and i even ordered 3 new onces so i can have a better eye on the situation for each plant.

A clipfan has also been installed finaly now regulating the humidity much better at a stable 50-55% and the ots have been rasied up from the floor. The smaller plants i put a little higher so the leave canapee it a bit more equal aswell.

So thats where i'm at at the moment. I'll post a more detailled scedule of my nuts and watering soon .

Some last pics for now and i'll post an update in a couple of days to see if the changes have made impact ;-)!

Hey Sparkie, see you got somethin up. looking nice so far, how many days you on now, and are they all WW? My WW is the smallest of my 3, so wondering if it's the strain or my first attempt. Keep us updated.

Opinions requested

Hi guys, i'm starting to feel that my tent might be a bit on the small side for 4 plants.
The cannapee from top is getting so dense that the lower branches are not getting a lot of light anymore.

So here is my question i would love to get some opinions on :
Should i cut a fiew of the larger leaves making more space for the lower and smaller branches ?

I have done my research on this before i put this tread. And again i have found many contradicting anwsers.
In my opinion , more light to the smaller develeping buts means more weight?
Some seed compagnies even reccomend to cut of lower leaves to create more nutflow to the buds. Others say its really bad to the plant to cut anything of and just wait till the plant drops them by itself.

What do you guys think ? any input most welcome!

Hey Sparkie, not entirely sure myself, however I've have read more often than not that in your case they say it's better to shave the legs and concentrate more of the plants energy into the larger bud sites, and not to cut upper fan leaves. Just what I've read. But I'm sure it's possible to successfully trim around and achieve more light to the bottoms and not cut many if any at all of the needed fan leaves. That's something you can test out and let us know any differences :) Keep us posted.

Hi freelivin , also took a look at your little project. Seems like your doing ok in my opinion!
Im today on day 31 counting from start of germination. All 4 gals are WW , the tallest one at about 24inch and the smallest at 12inch. Now i also did have some issues and might have had a really brief growstunt but all 4 plants have had the same treatment so far. I notice on my experience that the one seed was simply much stronger then the others and as lenght variates from plant to plant i'm guessing its more depending on the strain . Then again i'm also a first timer , so i could be wrong here.
