Hi kenzo8712, looks like you're off to a grand start there bud! All of them look really nice and healthy :] Can I see brown spots on some of the pictures on the leaves/leaf tips or is that cocoa fibers?

If there are little brown spots, you might be in the early stages of calcium/magnesium deficiency. I'd recommend getting some Epsom salts or a CalMag supplement :thumbs:
Might just be me seeing things that aren't there though haha

Are you using a digital camera or a cell phone for your pictures? I had the same kind of effect from your first post in my pictures when I used my cell phone, I think it's because of electrical interference from the ballast or the bulb.

I'm using my iPhone 5 to snap pics...it might be the uv light interfering but I'm not sure ...yea on one of them there a 3 small holes in the fan leaf and one on the tip, but all the rest of the plant including the new growth look healthy ...if I am having the cal mag issue, how do I go about applying the Epsom salts?

The small holes could be burns from water getting on the leaves. HPS and water droplets on leaves don't mix all that well

If you want to add some Epsom salts, I recommend you first mix it up to a standard solution. By that I mean dissolve the salts completely in some warm water and then add it to your regular feed. As for dosage, I think it's 1 teaspoon per litre of water.

Here's the information I found on dosage.

Dosage for watering:

1 level desert to a heaped tablespoon per 5 litres of water.

Dissolve the epsom salts in some hot water first to make sure it has all dissolved properly.

And the brown look on the leaves is from the light shining from the tent ...all leaves on all 4 plants are dark green and healthy looking except for the one fan leaf I described on the biggest NB plant

Yea I think it may have happened from me over misting...lol.. Appreciate the tip though and I will be noting this in my log just incase I do run into the cal mag issue..I think I have some Epsom salt in the bathroom ...lol

Ahh right on, you probably won't be needing the Epsom salts in that case :]

Foliar feeding is best done when the lights are out bud, best used to counter a deficiency Otherwise just standard watering should do grand.

I will most def keep that in mind now.. I will post pics in a few days to show progress.. I'm hoping it doesn't get too crowded in the tent but if it does I will try to just lst them to sog..even if they have to overlap one another

Man, those fan leaves on those Northern Blues have some fat old fingers, don't they? I love it.

Foliar feeding at night will provide you some benefit indeed. However your plants will get the most benefit if you give them their foliar feeding very soon after your lights come on for the day. That time after your light comes on is when the stomata on the undersides of the leaves are the most open and, as a result, most able to uptake nutrients.

The main reason that I have seen given for foliar feeding at night is to prevent getting burn spots on your leaves from the water droplets when your lights are on. The water droplets act like a magnifying glass to the light and that is what causes the burn spots. However, if you remove your plants from underneath your light first thing after lights on, do your foliar feed, and allow your leaves to fully dry off before putting them back underneath the lights, you don't have to worry about getting burn spots and your plants will receive more of a benefit than if you were to foliar feed at night.

I will give that a try..I was doing it mostly because of humidity issues but I resolved it..I'm anxious to see how big they will turn out because they are sort of dwarfing the other 2
