Hello Everyone,

Hey there,

Nice to see another RQS grower! Your plants seem pretty good overall. Some suggestions, take these with a bit of caution as I am not that experienced and seek some help:

- how old are they in these photos? If they are exacly 4 week they look a bit small.

- maybe they stretch a little bit? How far away are these CFLs, you have to keep them really close.

- also, for veg phase, white CFLs (6300-6400k) work much better, see if you can replace some of or all of your 2700k ones.

- I cannot judge from that photo, but one looks like it has heat stress, NL2. Do you have something like a fan to cool them off or maybe a light was too close to that one?

Good luck!

Hey Ramone,

thanks for the input. I thought they were on the small side as well. I keep the lights quite close say within 3 to 4 ". Where i live there is a very limited choice whens its comes to buying goods so the lights that i have will have to do for now. With regards to the plant with the curled leaves it is the plant closest to the fan so i don't think its heat stress. Still waiting to test pH should be able to within a week. Again iapprecaite your thoughts and anything you can think of that may help I am happy to receive.

Cheers

Hey Dark Haven, I am on my first grow as well. I have three nirvana auto blue mystics going. I am on day 13. I have them under 15 cfls. (10) 6500k and (5) 2700k. I am expecting two 300 watt leds tomorrow or the next day. Check out my grow. Do you have any pics from around day 13? I would like to compare and see if we can help each other as we go. Your plants look good. I am growing in 2 parts top soil, 1 part cow manure, 1 part peat moss, and 2 parts perlite, and 1 part bone meal. I wish I would have spent more time working/researching my soil because my ph is really high and I have been trying to account for it by lowering my water and nutes with a little vinegar. I did add alittle soil acidifier yesterday but I think that it is slow acting. They seem to be doing okay. I am using fox farms trio and a cal/mag supplement. I am using 1/3 strength. I have only watered twice and plan to water again in two days with water and cal/mag only.

sorry 1guy these are the first pics and they are from day 28. I will be happy to help you out during your grow. I plan on posting pics ever three days or so. I will check out your grow as soon i am done typing this and let you know what i think...prob not much help but all info is good info in my eyes.

my pH meter showed up today. after calibrating it. i got these readings:

water 7.2
nute solution 6.5
runoff
-b1 5.8
-b2 5.7
-b3 5.7
-nl1 6.0
-nl2 5.8
-nl3 5.8
-nl4 6.0

Pretty sure i need to raise my pH but not sure how to go about. I know lime should help not sure how to use it, if i can even get some. pitfalls of living in isolated area i guess. if cannot get lime are there any other ways of raising my pH?
