first time growing seed question

I plant them in disposable cups. I tend to watch them to see when they are asking me for water. About every 2-3 days till 2 weeks old, then they get transplanted, and go on a true water schedule which is about once every 3-4 days again depending on how much they drink. Remember that they are a weed, and they enjoy drying out from time to time, then a good drench. It gets much easier at about a month old when I start to only water them once a week, checking that the top 2 Inches of dirt is dry, with a very small amount of moisture. It shouldn't "feel wet" to the touch, but shouldn't be dry to the point it powders up.

If you let them dry out to where the sides of the pot/cup are showing gaps on the sides, water slow. If you water to fast you will create rivers that will miss a lot of the roots.

Ya i watered last night with a 250 ppm of nutes and i see discoloration on the older leaves but nothing on the newer ones. Im not sure what it could be but im going to take a guess and say i should just water the seedling with just water and cal mag until it starts getting light green

I wouldn't even bother with the Cal-Mag till you get to the 13-14 day mark. I do wish you luck, and I woul love ( Others too I bet) to see a Journal. Actually you have inspired me! Im going to do a Journal of my current grow ( Day 3) So I can show you what I do. Maybe we can help each other. Grow Strong!

Sounds good to me man. What seeds are you growing? Lights? Nutes? Growing medium? Best of luck to u man! Lots of good grow karma to you

Yeppo, still same, all things considered, those little bean shaped leaves carry enough nutes to guide it to day 12-14. Consider it like a tadpole, when they are born they begin forming in an egg they have a yolk sack. That sack is what they need to get to "hatch day". I would consider it the same with a seedling, but hatch-day is delayed to about two weeks. Grow strong! Feel free to message me any question that you have.

EDIT: Im growing atm-

... they look fine mate,... as Jay said, ease off on the nute's, demands are very low now,.. when and how much to dilute depends on what you're growing in- soil, coco- and how rich it is, or isn't! And the NPK#'s of the nute's you use,.. the rapid start is a great product! Seedling like nice even constant moisture, so misting can help keep upper levels moist without making the lower levels too wet,...
