Day 68 - Well the Final Phase is in the res and I'm taking them down Friday. I have two questions. First should I flush/cleanse for more than a week. Second is there any reason to consider drying with the roots on?

Knowing nothing specifically about it...IIRC DWC flushes a lot faster...up to you but I think I've red veterans saying a week is fine. Have not heard of anyone improving anything by drying with roots on....seem like it would simply take longer. (more moisture to work through)

I don't know where I read that. I think your right. Besides it seems kind of cruel. Thanks!

Just tried a sample from a branch I knocked off one of the plants Friday when I started the cleansing flush. It tastes like crap but it's been a while since I've been this baked. Many thanks!

Personally, I dry my plants whole with the roots on. I have never did a side by side though to see if it really makes a difference. There are members here like Root66 that make pain relieving rub using canna roots so you might want to hold on to them regardless of how you decide to dry.

Quick dried bud always tastes bad because of all the chlorophyll it contains. If it had a strong effect then well cured it should be great.

Have you decided if you want more of a head stone vs. couch lock effect? When to chop will be your next decision.

Hi oldster, I like a good couch lock but I smoke a lot so I'd rather be up than catatonic. I was going to pull the plants Fri. (day 70ish) The will have had 7 days of cleansing flush and Final Phase. The fan leaves are all yellowing out and beginning to fall off. If I dry the roots out how should I store them. Can roots be used to make oil? Thanks!

Harvest day is here. I've learned a lot and thank everyone at AFN who helped me get here. Two of the plants are strange bushes without buds which I plan on drying, throwing into the oven and making Green Dragon out of. It's strange but these two plants are the two that looked like they would grow most successfully but for some reason they legged out and failed to form buds. The other 4 grew buds to varying levels of success. I'll be back with a smoke report as soon as I've got something dried and cured a little.

Hi oldster, Thanks for the link. Very interesting. My wife suffers from migrains but does not want to become high by smoking or ingesting. Do you know if any part of the plant can be used for the relief of pain without the high. I'm not sure if a topical root balm will work on migraines.
