I wanted to ask anyone if , when my autos go into flowering stage, should I put my lights on to red spectrum only or continue to use both red and Blue?

In my last grow, 6 HubbaBubbaSmelloScope was grown with 2 MarsHydro 600w (the old model with 3w with diodes), and since power consumption is a constant niggle for my nerves and peace of mind I only used the veg mode for the first 2 weeks to see if there was any correlation between growth and the half "Spectrum" used.
No worries to report and they took off as usual, thus saving me 2 x 14 x 24 h x 168w = 112,9 Kw @0,19 euro = 21,45 euro. That ain't much in the scheme of things, so I haven't bothered since, but from a pure grow perspective there is no reason to go full blast from the get go.
There's of course no science involved, not even a feeble attempt, so it could be argued that the plants may have been 6,9 cm taller, yielded 14,72 g more and produced 23,81% THC rather than 21,57% or some such, if all systems had been running full blast from the beginning ...... But I doubt it.....!
