Hello I'm just wondering should I flush my plants with 9 gallons of water if I am using 3 gallon pots ? and would that be over watering though ? if someone can help me I would really appreciate it :D

Is the plant near the end of its life? Has bud production halted?

They are only a week old atm I was just wondering because I've read that if you have them in say 3 gallon pots you should flush it with 9 gallons of water

Please do not do this practice. Water every 4-7 days and only water when required, when the top of the soil is dry. Watering with 8 gallons of water will cause the plant to over-water and you'll have a very bad start. Also please remember not to add any nutrients for the water for the first 2-3 weeks (perhaps more depending on the strain).

yeah you would flush with 9 gallons at the END of the plants life cycle, you dont need to be doing any flushing at the moment dude.

Flushing is only for emergencies, like if you measure your nutes over your pots and accidentally spill full strength in the pot (it happens to the best of em) Or if you use synthetic nutrients and you need to wash salt build up out of your soil. It's not a standard procedure. The "flush" a lot of people refer to we call a cleanse here at AFN. That's when you just water your plant with plain water the last two weeks of it's like to help it clean itself out. Chad's right about your young plant, you may stunt the hell out of it flushing at this early point and for no reason.

Hope that helps!

You shouldn't do this, just water the last two weeks with regular water. Flushing should only be an emergency procedure.

Thanks guys for the replies! and I know that flushing is for emergency's but I thought you should flush 2 weeks before harvest but I'll just feed them water the last to weeks :booya:
