A line from a scene--designed to dramatize actual reported events (creatively).

"Marajuana is the flame, heroin is the fuse, LSD is the bomb. So don't you try to equate liquor to marajuana, Mister, not with me. You may be able to sell that jazz to another pothead, but not to somebody who holds some sick kid's head while he vomits and wretches on a curbstone at 4:00 in the morning. And when his legs get enough starch into them so he can stand up and empty his pockets, you can bet he'll have a stick or two of marajuana. And you can double your money he'll turn up a sugar cube or a cap or two. So don't you con me with your mind expansion slop. I deal with kids every day. I try to clean up the mess that people like you make out of 'em. I'm the expert here, you're not."

Jan. 11, 1968--Dragnet episode--The Prophet

Note: Marijuana "sticks" are bad--real bad!

All those old Dragnet episodes are on Netflix. Some are just corny while others are downright hilarious, especially the way they portrayed the hippies.

Muddy--Found a source for 1967 season.

Time to look into Netflix or the Amazone Prime (noticed many movie/TV options).

If run into some good dialogue--will post!

Cheers

For what they charge, it's hard to beat Netflix. We just finished watching Sherlock, the new BBC version, last night and are going to start on the final season of 24 next. Besides Dragnet, some other great classics like The Twilight Zone, Star Trek, and Mission Impossible.

Do you like Kevin Spacey? Highly, HIGHLY recommend the Netflix original "House of Cards." Highly. Plus it has Robin Wright. You can't go wrong with Robin Wright. Ohhhhh baby :hump:

*edit

Just realized you guys are talking about old classics. You should STILL watch House of Cards. You guys ever watch the show "Are You Being Served?"
