Realized the spider mites I had been battling on my four Jems were really root aphids and I'm throwing in the towel. I just cut the plants and tied them in a trash bag. The soil has had a good amount of peroxide dumped on it and will most likely get some bleach before being tossed.

So check your dirt!

I had been in and out of town, and using new products to treat what I thought was mites, I was not confident in its effectiveness. One day I saw them swarming on the tiered pot and thought, huh spider mites don't do that.

I had been making sure none of my plants were touching the infected plants but they were in there for a bit.. Any one know how likely this crap is to take over my greenhouse? I can't seem to find any good info on these critters.

I had those little shits once, killed them with bayer advanced citrus. After that I burned the plant out back in a big fire, wrapped up the pot, soil included and threw it in a random dumpster in town. Bleached the cab and let it rest for a few weeks. Problem solved. I'm an organic grower, but I know when to use the nukes. I don't play

Unless I see problem in my other plants I'll probably avoid the Bayer stuff, but I think I'm gonna do just that burn and dump. I snapped a couple of pics I'll put up later, it was foul!
